Are children welcome at the reception?
Answer
Our reception is very much an event geared toward adults. We would love for our friends and family to be able to have a child-free night out to celebrate with us and let loose. We understand that many people will be traveling to Wisconsin for the weekend with their children. If you will require a babysitter, please get in touch with us and we will do our best to connect you with one. That said, older children may attend at your discretion.

Your invitation (not your Save The Date) will indicate the number of people in your party.

We will be in our wedding attire, so dress as you would for any other semi-formal wedding reception.

What kind of food will be served?
Answer
We will be serving a full dinner, in a casual, fun format. The highly talented chef at Robinia Courtyard is guaranteed to please carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike! If you have more specific dietary restrictions beyond these, please let us know well in advance.

Will there be drinks served?

But of course! We will be providing an open bar with a top notch selection of beer, wine and spirits. We will also be serving coffee from Black Locust for those who need a quick pick me up during the evening.

Will the reception be inside or outside?
Answer
Both. Robinia Courtyard is a one-of-a-kind venue with three restaurants and bars - Black Locust Cafe, Madison Tap and Jardin - all surrounding a large outdoor courtyard. In the event of rain, we will have the ability to cover the courtyard and keep everyone dry, in addition to the inside spaces which are large enough for all guests.

Do you have a block of rooms reserved at a hotel?
Answer
Yes, we have a block reserved for Friday and Saturday at AC Hotel by Marriott just blocks away from Robinia Courtyard. Please refer to the Travel page on this website for a link to the reservations website.

Answer
Yes! Dancing shoes are highly recommended!

What is the parking situation at Robinia Courtyard?
Answer
In the event that you have to drive to the venue, there is free on-street parking. There are also several parking garages within a one to two-block radius. We are currently working on arranging free, round-trip transportation from the AC Hotel before and after the reception, so details to follow.

What is the deadline for RSVPs?
Answer
The sooner the better, but no later than June 15th.
