We met the week that Justin arrived in the beautiful state of North Dakota. For the ones that don’t know Justin is from Houston, TX. He just started his job working for the Wolf’s Harvest crew. When I first seen Justin, I can still remember what the boy was wearing a white shirt and jeans, man oh man young Brailyn thought that was a hot man she laid eyes on. All we did that day was introduce ourselves. Later that week the Wolf’s took off down south. Later that summer I seen Justin again when they came to Harvest for my family, and boy I will tell you every time I seen him, I knew something special was going to happen between us one day, but I had to be patient. Throughout the summer I would call Brianna just to catch up and see how she was doing, and would just ask about Justin, I kept my feelings pretty hush hush at the time and I guess Brianna never even gave it a thought that I liked one of the hired hands. Thanksgiving came around the corner and my parents invited the two hired hands that stuck around which was Gator(Ethan) & Slippers(Justin). I was sitting at one end of my parent’s island in perfect direction of looking at Justin on the other end, and man I would say he noticed me, he would look at me and smile and little Brailyn would blush and smile back. All we did for the next year when we saw each other was smile at and would joke around. My Birthday in November of 2019, this girl finally turned 18. For my 18th birthday my parents, Mike and Paula headed up to Canada to celebrate my birthday, well the day I turned 18, we were driving and I turned to my brother and asked for Justins snap.(Side note, Brady has set up both his sisters, first Brady gave Brianna Michaels number and now me). I added him, and I kid you not, not even a minute later Justin accepted my friend request. I snaped him first and I go, “Hey Slippers.” He replied with, “Are you Brianna’s little sis?” Yup that was his first question haha! But we started talking and the story began of Justin and Brailyn. We had our first date mid-December at Sakura, the first date was like we knew each other forever, we sat and talked for 2 hours enjoying each other’s company and sharing laughs. December 22, 2019, came around the corner and I talked Brianna & Michael in to letting me go move a combine with them in South Dakota. Why you wonder, well Justin was coming along. I don’t know how they didn’t know something was going on because we were awfully close to each other in the back seat, sharing air pods watching Grey’s Anatomy. When we got to our destination Brianna & Michael went in the combine and Justin & I were in the pickup piloting them to a dealership. During our drive Justin finally grew the courage of asking me out, and of course I said Yes. Through the years Justin and I grew closer together hanging out whenever we could and me moving in with him in 2022. We lived in an apartment for a while and man that apartment had so many memories, but my favorite memory of them all is December 19, 2023. Justin got down on one knee in the kitchen and asked me if I would Marry him? Well, you all know my answer to that one, yes! We were filled with giddy and not even a minute later our very good friends Jon and Jenna walked through the door, picking us up to go out that night! We bought a house in May of 2023 and let me tell you, living with a person you really get to know each other and the more I get to know the person I am going to marry here very soon, I would choose this path in life over again. Our love has grown over the years and getting to know each other. We have gone on many vacations to many different states seeing Justins family or just getting away! We love going Razor riding, going on unplanned adventures, farming and ranching, traveling, and most importantly hanging out with friends and Family.
