How They Met

it all started in the lobby...

Rewind back to 2011 in the halls of Nipmuc Regional High school where Dillon and Emma first met. Dillon was halfway through his senior year in the midst of drawing the interior of the school lobby for his architecture class. Still a junior, Emma was designing an art display inside the school trophy case. Dillon saw the perfect opportunity when he noticed she was struggling to reach the top shelf. Despite his best efforts, Emma politely declined his offer for assistance (tall ego in tow). As Dillon walked away, she started regretting this decision realizing his sweet intentions and kind smile. Emma went back to class and began crafting a note to Dillon properly introducing herself and offering a way to make it up to him. They agreed to meet under the lights of the baseball field that Friday. Here they talked for hours going back and forth asking about things like favorite colors and middle names. Before the night ended, Dillon had asked Emma out ice skating on their first date, and she agreed.

The Engagement

And it was enchanting to meet you...

Despite it being possibly the coldest night yet that winter, on the six-year anniversary of going on their first date Dillon convinced Emma once again to go ice skating with him. After splitting a hot chocolate together, the two couldn’t help but reminisce. Dillon began to explain how on that first night he worried he had blown the perfect opportunity to ask Emma to be his girlfriend all because of nerves. It wasn’t until then Emma began to realize the coincidental timing of this date. In the background of the empty skating rink the couple’s favorite song began to play. In that moment, holding both of Emma’s hands, Dillon slowly dropped down to one knee and explained that unlike their first date six years ago, he was no longer nervous. He asked her to be his wife, and without hesitation, she said yes!

Together Today

Dillon recently finished graduate school at Northeastern University and is now working as a physical therapist and Emma is working her dream job as an elementary school Art Teacher. After four years of being long distance while the two were finishing college, they have now happily lived together in the Boston area for the past 4 years. They are both very excited and grateful to have you be a part of the next chapter in their love story.
