Braham and Shelby first met in Chicago at a mutual friend’s gathering, where Braham took an immediate interest in his wife-to-be. So much so that the first words he spoke to her were a proposal, using a fake ring he found on the ground on his way to the soiree. They decided to explore what could be between them, and went on their second date 10 days before Braham moved to New York. Logic couldn't keep them apart. After proclaiming they wouldn't date due to circumstances, they flew to visit each other every 2 weeks until finally deciding to acknowledge their relationship. They dated for long-distance for 6 months until COVID brought Braham back to Chicago "for two weeks" with little other than a floor length, hooded, monogrammed velour robe and gym shorts. After 6 months of pure elated hunkering down, Shelby made the move cross country to begin building a life in New York together. Being blessed with a strong community, they have spent the last 4 years living life to the fullest, making unforgettable memories, and traveling everywhere they're able to any chance they get.
