We're Getting Married!

We met when I first moved to Denton to start graduate school and he was working at a fire station in Pilot Point. I can remember our first date like it was yesterday. He took me to eat at Chuy's, our favorite and went to see Toy Story 4. We both felt an instant connection that night and a few nights later he surprised me at my house because he couldn't stand to wait another week to see me again. Despite finding a spark and knowing we wanted to be with each other, our journey wasn't easy. I had just lost my grandfather and he was there for me throughout that whole loss. Hunter moved to Denison while I was still in Denton finishing school. We went weeks without seeing each other that took a toll on both of us. I would make the long drive to see him during the week and meet him on Wednesday's after he got done at the church for our weekly Chilis date. After enduring all of that we finally moved in together to our first apartment. Leading up to our engagement it was business as usual. Then came Hunter's big scheme to throw me off guard to the proposal he was planning. For months he kept telling me about this surprise vacation we were going to be taking. Due to Covid however that trip was cancelled and he had to tell me about it. After that his family and us planned a trip to Hawaii and I was starting to get suspicious. He assured me however that we would not be getting engaged anytime soon. Fast forward to March 16th 2020, just one short year after we started dating, Hunter told me we were going to my parent's house to take pictures for our anniversary. When we pulled up he blindfolded me with his cowboy hat and I was led into the house. There our families were holding roses for me to receive as I walked down to him. I was balling, he was crying, and I walked down to my forever and told him yes I would marry him. Now we are just focused on planning our wedding and loving each other unconditionally each and everyday. Hunter has my whole heart for my whole life.
