We actually met through Facebook! Neither of us were really looking as we both just got out of relationships. I came across his Facebook profile on the Facebook dating link (again, not looking for anything, maybe friends at most) and decided to reach out to him. At first glance of his picture, I thought "wow he seems like he has his life together, and he's really attractive" and shot my shot. My first message to him, not verbatim, was "Hi! How are you? You're really cute!", and from there, we took off. At this time I'm living back with family getting back on my feet, and he's out of state working. Couple weeks go by and he's saying he's coming home and was going to ask his friends to pick him up from the airport. I immediately said "I'll come get you!" to which he responds, "are you sure?" I said "Yes I'm positive." The day comes to head to the airport, and I have my family with me, because well, we haven't met in person yet, he could be a crazy person for all we know, lol. Prior to this we had countless facetime calls, regular phone calls, texting constantly, so we both knew we weren't lying about who we said we were, which was comforting haha. So my mom, grandma and I arrive at the airport awaiting his arrival. What seems like a lifetime goes by when he texts me "just burned rubber." My heart immediately dropped, I was nervous and que the butterflies swarming in my stomach. He and my mom were texting back and forth and timing when he'd come up behind me and surprise me. What seemed like forever to pass by again, I feel him come up behind me and hug me really big and swing me around. I was so nervous and excited I couldn't look at him for about 5 minutes! Haha. From there, the rest is history. He's become my best friend just as much as I've become his. From random dances in the kitchen, to road trips out of state, rose petals leading up to a hot bubble bath after a long day at work, this man never ceases to amaze me, no matter how cliche that sounds. We both were lost after being heartbroken one too many times and despite not looking to hop into another relationship, we found our way to each other. The amount of time I spent praying for a man that was my other half, my best friend, a man that was selfless, someone to understand me, God heard my prayers and delivered Brady to me. Mind you, the last relationship I was in I was asking for this because I wasn't happy. My friends and family could see a 360 turnaround after being with this man, and I'm forever grateful and blessed. I wasn't happy years before, and neither was he. After learning about his past as well, we both more than deserved someone to love us the way we wanted and yearned for. I was wanting a man that was a mirror image of me, and that's Brady. He wanted a woman that didn't take him for granted and just loved him for him. He's my carbon copy just in male form, which is what I tell everyone when asking how we met!
