If you ask me, we met at Andrew Schoof’s 30th birthday party in the fall of 2017. I had known of Morgan and can’t lie that I had a bit of a crush on her at the time, but knew that she was in a relationship so didn’t think I’d ever have a chance to be where I am today. Fast forward to the Spring of 2018, I had attended a Structure office outing at Urban Pie for Music Bingo night that most of the office usually tried to go to every week and Morgan tagged along. I had heard Morgan was moving back to Cedar Falls to continue her business at Transcend, but figured her boyfriend was going to move back as well. That night I found out she was no longer in a relationship, but I still didn’t think she would have any interest in me. That night, we talked about commercials that Morgan had used to advertise for Transcend and needing someone to be in the next commercial, so I volunteered. I believe it was the next day, with no intentions of anything else, I messaged Morgan on Instagram and gave her my info if she really wanted me to be in the next commercial. As our conversations grew longer, I asked Morgan if I could cook her dinner and surprisingly enough she didn’t have too bad of a time when she finally did :)

If you ask me, we met at my brother's 30th birthday party bus in October 2017. It was a brief interaction, mainly just an introduction. While on the party bus, I overheard my brother's business partner say to Brady "dude, she's basically married" and for some reason knew they were talking about me. Not that I didn't think Brady was a nice guy or anything...I was in a relationship and felt uncomfortable with knowing of any interest he had! In normal awkward Morgan style, I'd purposely avoid situations/places where I knew he'd be, but I was always hearing nice stories about him from his coworkers at Structure Real Estate. It wasn't until spring of 2018 and I was no longer in a relationship, when I reluctantly attended a "Music Bingo" night at Urban Pie where I suspected he might be. We talked a little bit, "slid into my Instagram DM's ;)" and got my number, and asked me over for dinner a few weeks later. We instantly knew it was meant to be and spent every humanly possible moment together from that day on!<3

May 25, 2019 We'd talked about marriage for a long time. Really, within the first month of dating. We just knew! But we were also waiting for a time where we thought it would be appropriate to move forward with it:) I knew it would be coming within the next few months, but I didn't know when! From the first time discussing marriage, Brady said he knew how he was going to do it. Being the detective I am, I knew it was only a matter of time before I'd somehow guess just HOW he was going to do it;) Sure enough, I guessed his perfect proposal in April, much to his disappointment...oops! Now that I'd ruined that, I had no idea how or when he'd actually do it. That was until the real deal happened on May 25, 2019 :) Brady and I were spending the holiday weekend with my family in Clear Lake. We'd just returned home from a brewery and I was starting the fun process of taking all of the dogs outside to go to the bathroom ;) Brady offered to help and asked if I wanted to go for a walk. We walked in front of the historical Surf Ballroom where we'd attended a concert in previous months and when we got to the corner, Brady said we should turn around and walk by the lake. Looking back, I thought he was acting a little strange, but at the time I had no clue. We hadn't made it to the lake before Brady stopped in front of the Surf and started talking about how long he'd wanted to marry me. The rest was a magnificent blur until Winnie (our new puppy) had somehow wrapped her leash around Eddie and her neck and was choking. It was cute, nerve-wracking, funny, and so perfectly us <3
