Matron of Honor
Joanna and I met at UVA. For at least 6 months, I thought Joanna was too cool to be my friend. However, Jo and I then found a really beautiful friendship. We love getting coffee, feeding our respective boys, working out together (still doing so virtually), playing board games, and spending many hours testing our Hamilton knowledge. I am an enneagram 8, so I can be pretty intimidating at first. However, I am really just very passionate about justice in our world, listening to good music, and being surrounded by friends who feel more like family. I was honored when Brady asked if he could propose on their trip down to visit Pensacola, because it meant the world to be able to hug my best friend on such an exciting day. I am so honored to be involved in the wedding of these amazing friends.

Brady and Connor have known each for quite some time. From middle school band, to varsity football, to college roommates, these two have been there for many of each other's memorable milestones. Connor is even responsible for introducing Brady to Joanna at a Chi Alpha Core Group hangout and, judging from the fact that you are reading this, you can guess how that turned out! Connor is honored to be by Brady's side for this momentous event and can't wait for more wacky adventures to share with the Scott Family! P.S. Please turn to page 3 to see an embarrassing photo of Brady.

I first met Joanna in our sorority 1st year at UVA. By 2nd year, we were in the same small group, meeting for coffee dates, and carpooling just about anywhere. Our group of friends came together during 2nd year, and you could find us at Jo’s house on any given night. My fondest memories from UVA revolve around our friends and time spent together at The Loft. In our 5 years of friendship we’ve laughed and cried, hit the slopes and the beach, and cheered on the Hoos both home and away. We are now grad students at VCU, but some things, like lunch dates, never change. We lean on each other for wisdom or perspective, and I can always count on Jo to tell me exactly what she’s thinking. I am excited for the future these two have ahead of them, and feel honored to stand with them on their day!

Brady and Austin found their way into each other's lives by way of faith, a love of challenge, and the "occasional" late night with Connor. Over the past 4 years, a bond was formed that was truly fire-tested; through heartbreaks, shenanigans (often of questionable legality), and quite literally fire, an unspoken understanding of each other was born. One of Austin's treasured memories is having Brady at his side as they both began to navigate the lives of two suddenly-not-single college males. Brady supports Austin, imparting discipline and direction through brotherly challenge, while Austin provides plausible deniability for all shared escapades. Austin looks forward to celebrating the Scotts for a long while, and to watching this beautiful journey that is just beginning. John 13:34-35

Ally formally joined the Scott clan when she married the groom's older brother, Caleb, but she has been friends with the family for more than a decade. Over that time she's had the chance to enjoy game nights, watching the latest cinema releases, family vacations, and running the BB gun gauntlet with Brady and Joanna. These two are competitive to the core and make a strong team, and Ally is thrilled for her brother-in-law and future sister-in-law. When she's not standing alongside the swearing of a sacred oath, Ally enjoys exploring the outdoors with Caleb, their dog Django, and their cat Conan.

Caleb has the privilege and distinction of having known Brady longer than anyone who wasn't directly involved in his birth. Over the years they've gone on countless adventures both real and imagined, argued about what sounds should be considered annoying, analyzed dozens of movies in obsessive detail and narrated their daily commute to school as if it was a 70s buddy cop procedural. He's excited to welcome Joanna into the family and couldn't have asked for a better successor as Brady's partner in adventuring, arguing, and crimefighting.

I was lucky enough to get to know this amazing couple in my second year at UVA through a Thanksgiving potluck, a Baitshop date-function, and a winter cabin trip. Since then, Joanna has been a rock for always bringing wisdom, kindness, and fun into my life through our friendship and Brady's love of adventure and games has led to memorable backpacking trips and many games of spike-ball (despite my lack of any spike-ball skill). Brady and Joanna are always a true joy to be around whether they are organizing an entire event or trip for a huge group, hiking through the woods, or just hanging out for so many hours that we all lose track of time.

JT and Brady began their friendship in a Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship Core Group at UVA. They share a common love for Spikeball, late night Cook Out runs, board games (*cough, cough Coup), deep conversations, and the musical, Hamilton. JT is a Naval Officer training to be a pilot, who loves to ask a lot of questions, often gets caught staring at nothing, and is an avid UVA basketball fan. He and his wife Cayla are excited to share this special day with two of their favorite people in the world.

I met Brady and Joanna during my first year of college through Chi Alpha and my sorority, respectively. I knew Brady as one of the loud, crazy guys in my brother core group and Joanna as that girl who seems too cool to hangout with. However, I was blessed to become good friends with both the “loud guy” and “cool girl". Joanna and I grew closer through long chats, coffee, and Christ. I have always admired Jo for her leadership (and her punctuality as I always seem to be late), but what has meant the most is her ability to love fearlessly by investing in those around her. Even separated by grad school, Jo has been a constant in my life and her friendship has made me feel closer to home. I can’t imagine life without Joanna at my side, and I’m so excited to be at hers as she says “I do!”

Michael "Micro-soft-ass" White met Brady during his first year of college at UVA. It was a late night at Cook Out when Michael asked, "What's your name?" Brady promptly responded, "Connor". In the months and years to follow, that same "Connor" would invite Mike on some of his greatest life adventures: a trip or two to the Scott family cabin, three beach weeks in the Outer Banks, and, eventually, their shared college home, the Buck Lodge. Brady is one of Michael's best friends, and he couldn't be happier for him and Joanna!

When Joanna and I first met, it's fair to say she was not very fond of me. Fortunately for me, our relationship took a turn for the best when I had the privilege of being her core group leader through UVa's Chi Alpha. What started out as mentorship quickly became the friendship that continues to be very dear to me, despite states worth of distance. Joanna's intentionality, generosity, and discipline have taught me so much over the past 3 years and have continued to help cultivate our friendship despite distance. I would gladly travel across the world to celebrate her for this joyous occasion!

Luke has known Brady for close to a decade now, originally meeting through youth football, then "thriving" through their early, awkward teen years together. In high school, the two grew closer through a Saturday night Bible study (feat. the Mighty Men), making home-made super-hero films, and watching all six seasons of "Lost" in less than a week. Brady has always been a role model - wise beyond his years, of excellent character, and a man who cares deeply for people. And as the two have both gone through trials and changes in life, this friendship has been a constant. Be it going off to college, launching early careers, or getting married – Brady and Luke are a package deal. Luke is excited to support Brady and Joanna and can’t wait for the big day in September!

I’m Macie, Brady’s younger sister. We’re 4 years apart and have definitely had our ups and downs growing up together, as any other siblings have, but I am so grateful to have him as a brother. Joanna has become such an awesome part of our family and I honestly can’t imagine what it was like without her around. She is the perfect fit for Brady and our family and I couldn’t be more excited to have her as my sister-in-law! I’m so happy the two of them have found each other and I’m really looking forward to watching their beautiful wedding and life together ahead. Love you both!

Marcus met Brady before Joanna had even fallen in love with him. Backyard cookouts, biscuit-themed birthday parties, and boisterous game nights all manifested as Marcus' masterful, cupid-like matchmaking plan - the work of a Bride-to-be's little brother. Now, all is right in the world, with the union of the Scott and Domson family. Marcus can finally rest easy. His work is finished.
