Flight

Flights to Anchorage (ANC)

Anchorage’s Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC) is the recommended airport for those traveling to Alaska for the wedding. It is located in the heart of Alaska’s biggest city and is the shortest distance to our venue.

Travel Note

Getting Around: Anchorage

Planning on sticking to the city? Uber and Lyft are both in Alaska along with plenty of cabs (all with an easy phone number 907-222-2222!). Wanting to explore Anchorage's surrounding areas a bit while you're here? A rental car is definitely recommended. You may also need one to get to and from the wedding venue.

House Or Rental

AirBNB

We recommend checking out Anchorage’s Airbnb options before the hotels. Alaska’s tourism industry is in full swing come July and booking your Airbnb early is HIGHLY recommended. Feel free to ask us our opinions on neighborhoods if you are unsure.

Hotel

Anchorage Hotels

Anchorage has many hotels across a wide range of budgets. While we believe Airbnb is the way to go, if you choose to stay in a hotel we recommend booking sooner rather than later as places will get full. No matter where you stay in town you can always Uber around, so don't worry too much about location!

Travel Note

Getting Around: Wasilla/Big Lake

Staying at a Wasilla hotel the night of the wedding? Great choice! Not only are you closer to the action, so you can party longer, but you can still use Uber and Lyft. Because of the distance, we expect the rides will be about $35 each way from the Wasilla hotels to the venue. But better safe than sorry! Available cars may be few and far between in this area, so if you plan on using a rideshare app please try to buddy up whenever possible!

Hotel

Wasilla Hotel: Best Western Lake Lucille Inn

This is the closest hotel to the venue. You will likely need a rental car to get here from Anchorage as there are not many shuttles in between towns. You may also take the Alaska Railroad to Wasilla, however, the train schedule is not ideal for check-in times as it gets you to Wasilla at about 9:30 am. Once you have arrived, Wasilla and Big Lake do have Uber so you may use that to get to and from the venue.

House Or Rental

Creekside Lodge

977 Kenlar Road
Wasilla, AK 99654
 (907) 315-9545

Creekside Lodge is a lovely inn very close to our venue. It is not a traditional hotel, but individual rooms can be rented. Additionally, if you are traveling with friends or family the entire inn can be rented instead. It sleeps up to 16 guests, has a jacuzzi/hot tub, and kitchens. A rental car is recommended for transportation to this location.

House Or Rental

Alaska Sunset View Resort

5322 South Big Lake Road
Wasilla, AK 99654
 (907) 892-8885

If you are interested in staying on property instead of driving home, we are allowed to have RV campers parked overnight and would love to have you! If you plan on camping please arrive at least one hour before the ceremony to set-up and turn off all generators for the duration of the party (thanks!). This will be dry RV camping only (i.e. no hookups). There is no tent camping allowed on the property.
