We are getting married!

Brad was living in Colorado at the time. He has family in the Atwater/Merced CA area, and was visiting with them here for a week. After spending a few nights on his trip just sitting at home, not doing much, his family told Brad to go out with his cousin and her friends for a few drinks, at the local sport bar. My friend walks in and introduces me to her cousin Brad from Colorado. There was not enough seats vs people. I offer to share my seat with Brad. We are sitting there smushed on this chair. To make it less awkward I ask him, “what type of music do you like? What’s your favorite band?” “Oh. You wouldn’t know them.” “I love music, who is it?” “Arcade Fire.” “I LOVE ARCADE FIRE!!” I proceed to pull out my phone showing Brad all their albums I had. We exchanged numbers and became instant friends. Eventually through the years our friendship turned into more.

Growing up I was always a huge fan of Harry Potter. There were times that my own age synced with Harry’s in the books. A few years ago when I heard Universal Studios, Hollywood, was building a Harry Potter World I knew I had to go. Brad had always told me he wanted to take me. On 12-22-18 he did. We were walking around in Hogsmead. We just saw the light show and fireworks all over Hogwarts Castle. We were walking together out of the Three Broom Sticks with a hot piping Butter Beer. Snow was falling down around us. Brad says to me, “Alright its getting to about that time that I have to do this”. He proceeds to put down his bags. “What are you doing?” I ask him. “Getting down here to propose to you.” I proceeded to sob in shock as he got back up and hugged me. Thus, we were engaged!! We are so excited to share this with our closest friends and family. We hope to see you Saturday, October 12th 2019!
