One fateful day, Daniela decided to try online dating on OKCupid. The website asked a series of questions to narrow down matches and one of them was “what do you spend a lot of time thinking about?” Daniela answered “the solar system.” When Josh ran across her profile, this answer intrigued him and led him to send her a unique pick up line - some planetary facts. They talked for a few days before Josh asked Daniela on their first date to a coffee shop near downtown Orlando. After talking over coffee for hours, the date moved on to a small sandwich shop a few blocks away for dinner. The rest is history.

Dapper Day at Disney World had become a tradition for Daniela, a tradition that Josh also enjoyed taking part of when they started dating. For those that don’t know, Dapper Day is an event that is organized twice a year at Disney World where you can go to the parks in 1950s outfits. Along with a group of friends, spring 2018 Dapper Day started like all the rest. The group went on rides and walked around the park in their Dapper attire. Josh then insisted we all go take pictures in front of the Cinderella Castle before the hottest part of the day started. We waited in line to take pictures from photographers available there and took a group photo. Afterwards, Josh suggested we also take a separate couple picture. As we posed for our photo, Josh told the photographer to hold on one second and then he was down on one knee. As the photographer took pictures, Josh asked Daniela to marry him and she said yes!
