We’re getting married!

I was at a friend’s new year’s party and Brad stopped in with a friend just to say hi. Our mutual friend (hey Brooke, this is you!) introduced us but that was that. About a month later, Brooke and I went to Brad and his roommate’s housewarming party. We locked eyes and the rest is history. Okay okay…not really how that played out, but we’ve been inseparable since that cold, cold night in January of 2021 and we wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️

Brad told me he wanted to take me out on a nice date. We got all dolled up and hit the road. I thought I could be sneaky and find out where we were headed when the GPS said “starting route to…” but this guy thought of everything and input the address and not the name of the restaurant, so the GPS said some random address and I was still at square one. When we were about 4 minutes out, Brad played the Johnny Cash rendition of “You Are My Sunshine” which is a song we’ve always sang to each other. We parked and got out of the car and walked into the restaurant and checked in. Then we walked out the front and down to this quaint, secluded area with a pretty arch way and the restaurant’s menu in a glass case. Brad brought my attention to the menu and as I was looking, I noticed where we were…the restaurant where we had our first date. I turned to look at him and he was on one knee. I said yes, of course. ❤️
