Amtrak offers a $26 train ride from Birmingham, Alabama to New Orleans. The train leaves Friday, January 31 at 1:03pm and arrives in the Big Easy around 9pm. The trip home Sunday departs at 9:15am and gets you back to Iron City at 5:15.pm A great option to avoid parking and driving in New Orleans! You can also upgrade to a private room to sleep comfortably on the way home.
