When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 29th so that we can get numbers to our vendors in a timely manner. If we do not receive an RSVP by this date we will assume you will not be able to make it to our wedding.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For a dress code we are asking our friends and family to wear semi formal attire to our wedding and are encouraging colourful options! This includes attire such as cocktail length dresses, dressy separates or a suit and tie. Please no t-shirts, jeans or flip fops. Events will be outside so for ladies please keep that in mind for shoes.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before the ceremony start time to make sure everyone is seated and ready for the ceremony to start.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay with in space available. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your RSVP.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be help outside. We recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Friday august 28th there will be a welcome BBQ open to all wedding guests to attend starting at being held at Olivias grandparents home outside of town.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding events?

Answer

Transportation will be provided from the lodge at arrow lakes in town for the wedding and reception on Saturday August 29th for those needing it. For the welcome BBQ on Friday August 28th we ask that you bring your own car or carpool with others from your accommodation.

Is there a room block?

Answer

Yes we have a room block at The Lodge at Arrow Lakes in town please refer to the travel page for their website and phone number. PLEASE BOOK BY JULY 15TH

What if I miss the room block date?

Answer

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations on our travel page

If I am flying what airport is the closest?

Answer

The closest airport to Nakusp is Kelowna (YLW) . From here you will have to rent a car and drive the rest of the way (3.5 hours)

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

At the welcome BBQ there will be burgers hotdogs, BBQ sides and salads along with snacks and desserts. For the reception dinner there will be a grazing table during the cocktail hour followed by a buffet dinner with meat and vegetarian options to choose from along with sides and salads.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

We will be working to the best of our abilities to provide for your dietary restrictions and abilities. Please be sure to make note of any when you RVSP so that we are aware of them to give to our caterer.
