Morgan's Version of How We Met

We technically met on a dating app in the summer of 2018... the conversation came up that we were both going to be teachers at Fort Dorchester in the fall. I immediately freaked out and friend-zoned him. haha Bradley claims I "ghosted" him. However, meeting was going to be inevitable. On the first day of school Bradley (being the gentleman he is) immediately "re-introduced" himself and offered to help me carry my stuff into my class. I tried to be the "strong, independent woman" I claim to be and deny the help but Bradley still was sweet enough to accompany me to my classroom. Two weeks after he came to my room one morning asking if I knew where a "working copier" was (To put in perspective my room was 325, Bradley's was 1112. We were on opposite ends of the school and he had to pass about 11 copiers just to get to my room...) I realized this man was going to be persistent and boy am I glad he was. He started coming to my room everyday after school from 4-6pm. We created a genuine friendship and Brad asked me to go to a concert with him. I quickly found out this was his ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND. He showed up in a groupie t-shirt, sang on the top of his lungs and broke out the air guitar on multiple occasions... Needless to say, Brad reminded me a little of Sheldon from Big Bang after that date. Alisa and I even referred to him as "air guitar" boy. I thought maybe we were just meant to be friends. Then when EVERY student of mine talked about how "Mr. B" was their all time favorite teacher, I realized I was definitely missing out on something. I needed to do more intel and win back my spot as #1 teacher. He invited me to a few more breweries and then introduced me to his family. THIS is where I got to see his humor, compassion for others and willingness to be completely selfless for the ones he loved. NOW the rest was history. (btw his air guitar is something I completely look forward to and I'm walking down the aisle to a song by that infamous band)

Brad's version of How We Met

So we matched on the dating app Hinge on August 2nd 2018. Through the conversation, we found out that we would both be teaching at Fort Dorchester High School together. Immediately, I knew that I was kind of friend-zoned because she said she was looking for “cool teacher friends”… and I was ghosted from there. Luckily for me she could not escape me that easily. Obviously, I thought she was pretty when we matched. However, when we met for the first time at new teacher orientation, I thought that she was even more beautiful in person. From the first day, I would wander down to her classroom to see her and talk to her. I knew that she was not really into me but persistence is one of my best qualities so I just kept walking down to her classroom. Eventually, I convinced her to go out to a concert to see my favorite band, Trampled by Turtles. I would not say that it was the best date ever but I thought we had fun. She obviously wasn't into me but I felt like we built an authentic friendship so I kept going to her classroom after school. To be honest, I started looking forward to going to work just knowing I got to see her after school. It was not until December that I thought she had feelings for me and I continued to invite her to hang out. However, when Morgan met my family that sealed the deal. She finally understood my dry humor and from there, the rest is history.
