Mother of the Bride
There is no Mercedes Subhani without Yesenia Manco. My mom is the most resilient, kindest, funniest (without even trying), and most dedicated person I know. I aspire every day to be even a fraction of the woman she is. She has moved mountains for me and our family, and I know she’ll continue to do so for the rest of her life—because that’s just the kind of selfless person she is. There’s nothing I could ever do to fully repay you, Mom. However, now that I’m no longer your financial burden (lol), I can finally start giving you the life that you deserve. I love you so much, Mom. I’m able to live my wildest dreams because of you—never forget that.
Best Man
The man, the myth, the legend—my best friend, and an even better dad. All of my freedom, energy, and chill vibes come from this man—the guy who taught me to live a life centered around joy and happiness, and that it’ll come back to benefit me. He’s the man I owe many of my obsessions to. Truly, I wouldn’t be able to do anything in this world without him.
Maid of Honor
I couldn’t imagine anyone else being my Maid of Honor. I’ve known Stacey since 2010, when we met in St. Michaels. We always said we wanted to become a nurse and a lawyer when we grew up. Seventh-grade us would be in awe of the journey it took to get here and the countless memories we’ve made along the way. No matter where life took us, we’ve always had each other’s backs, listened to each other vent, and—most importantly—supported every crazy, wild idea we came up with. Love you always, girlie.
Groomsman
My brother from another mother—truly. When I moved to Okinawa, Japan, I felt alone, but he made it feel like home by introducing me to his friends and giving me the official title of “The Gum Kid” in middle school (since it was against the rules to have). He made me feel like I finally had a place to call home.
Bridesmaid
To my best friend since high school — I’d be remiss not to say how incredibly proud and amazed the girls who rocked purple glasses and hoodies every single day back then would be to see us now. And I know we have so much more ahead. We're truly just two girls, silly-goosing our way all the way to the top — and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else but you. From Puerto Rico to NYC, D.C., (and soon, Antarctica — stay tuned!), and every place in between, we’ve made every moment an iconic, bougie adventure. Here’s to the girl bosses destined to become Partners — side by side, always.
Groomsman
My bestest friend—a guy I can always crack a joke with and a history guru who can tell you just about anything related to the military, both past and present. A smart guy and an even cooler brother. We’ll start our own motorcycle shop or restaurant one day, little bro!
Bridesmaid
The literal reason I survived law school and the litigator to my transactional attorney. Jess was (and still is) a ray of sunshine, even in the most stressful situations. From studying together and praying we'd survive law school and pass the bar exam, to having the most iconic nights in Fed Hill and every speakeasy in town—she's the only person I'd ever go yurting with. We are truly the most iconic dynamic duo to come out of Maryland Carey Law. Don't argue with her on this - she will absolutely turn on her litigator side and win. Stay tuned for the Thayer-Subhani IP & PI Law Firm.
Groomsman
The guy who’s always down for anything and everything—no matter what he’s got to do. Amusement park? Yep. A cruise? Sure is. A casual night of games, movies, or Dungeons & Dragons? Sounds like a fun time. Point is, Dustin is always down for a good time.
Groomsman
Tyler Swinson—around his town, he’s known as Swinson royalty. You won’t find a more chill guy with a great sense of music. So be careful; he might just make an entire Spotify playlist based on your music taste.
