We Eloped! And we are so excited to celebrate with our loved ones

Kristin had been wanting to travel to Hawaii since graduating from her doctorate program in 2018. The opportunity had never come up, so when she decided to change jobs in Spring 2022, she asked her main squeeze Bradley to join her on this adventure! We flew into Maui, swam with sea turtles, and enjoyed the island for a couple of days before taking a small plane to the Big Island of Hawaii. We stayed in the most adorable jungle AirBnb in the town of Volcano. Sounds safe right? Bradley had planned a few excursions during their trip and one morning we were planning to travel to the summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii. The evening before, it had snowed and they cancelled our trip to the summit on the morning of our excursion. Not to be thrown off-course, Bradley suggested that we still travel to the base camp at Mauna Kea were many beautiful overlooks could be seen. Just as we were taking in all of the beauty of the mountains, Bradley asked Kristin to come take a selfie of their view. At that moment Bradley took her hand and really confused Kristin by going down on one knee! As we all know, Kristin is rarely speechless but this moment took her totally by surprise. Of course she said YES and the whole trip to Hawaii ended up being far better than she had imagined when she had started planning it years before they were together.

In a private ceremony in Glacier National Park. MT we exchanged vows and were married. I have to admit, the views were really spectacular! We are really looking forward to sharing our photos with our family soon!
