Los Angeles International (LAX) is going to be your best bet when booking your flights. The airport is roughly an hour and a half to two hours away from our venue in Joshua Tree, CA. All roads leading to the Joshua Tree Inn are paved so an economy or compact car will get you there just fine. We definitely recommend arriving a couple days before the wedding festivities begin, or staying for a couple days after to venture all over Los Angeles and everything it has to offer. We are coming up with a list of some of our favorite places and restaurants, please don't hesitate to holler if you have ANY questions! We are so lucky and thankful that so many people from across the country are coming to celebrate with us in one of our favorite places.
Joshua Tree, while in the desert and some what isolated, is covered with a ton of amazing Airbnbs. We have personally stayed at a handful of pretty incredible ones all within ten minutes of our venue, and all at an extremely affordable cost. One of our other favorite places to stay in the area is Hicksville Trailer Palace. A fun quirky off the radar hotel with several different themed (and very nice) private trailers, a swimming pool surrounded by astro turf, a funky juke box, a teepee hut with firepits galore, the list goes on and on. We came here on one of our very first vacations together and still hold it as one of our favorite memories!
We would love for everyone to get dressed up, but with no expectations. We want everyone to look and feel their best, and we understand that has a different meaning for everyone. Keep in mind, desert weather is pretty unpredictable. It tends to be pretty warm during the day around this time of year, but it also tends to drop twenty degrees as soon as the sun sets. Come prepared with a light cover or jacket. And ladies, we strongly advise against heels or dresses that drag on the floor as there will be some areas of our venue that will be desert ground and dirt.
Both our ceremony and reception will take place at the same location, so once you arrive prepare for a full evening of tacos, dancing, and fun. The event will be held primarily outside, but with plenty of shade and covered areas. Our ceremony will begin at 4:30, so please arrive with plenty of time to grab a welcome drink and get settled. We will have both meat and vegetarian options for dinner. Children are welcome as long as they are under constant supervision, as there is plenty of space to run free and potentially get lost. Please do not drink and drive, there are plenty of affordable options of places to stay in the area.
