How We Met

5.1.18

Our story all began at a Relentless DC Encounter Night back in 2018. I (Bradley) struck up a conversation with her, since I had known her twin sister from serving together at another church. I gave her a prophetic word and our conversation continued into the parking lot. Neither of us attended the church, but we stood in the parking lot and talked for a few hours (yes, a few hours). We ended our conversation with her saying, "Hey, you should follow me on Instagram." Of course, I did. At this point, I thought nothing of this seemingly natural conversation. We had no intentions of running into each other again. Fast forward a year, we both started attending Relentless, at different times. Over the next couple of years, we were serving on the media team and learning about deliverance together. We were building friendship. One of us was interested. The other had no clue. God had to work the pieces of our story into place, to create the foundation of what you all will get to witness, in September.

The Proposal

6.1.21

I (Charity) walked into Chart House, to what I thought would be a birthday dinner with just my sister and I, to a room full of people shouting "SURPRISE!" As we take our seats for the waitress to take our orders, Bradley comes in a little late and I think nothing of it. We say our hellos, then Bradley begins to make a toast. I give him a look like why are you giving a toast, didn't my sister plan this?! I try to tell him not to give a speech, I was so confused. But, he overrides my sentiments and keeps talking. He proceeds to speak of our story and how it was written by God and how much he loves me...I'm now realizing that this isn't a surprise birthday dinner, but a surprise engagement. He looks over to his friend who starts to take the ring out his pocket and I sit in shock, saying "No way!" to myself again and again until he comes over to me. He gets down on one knee, tells me more sweet things and asks me to marry him and I say yes! We are so excited for you to celebrate the start of this next chapter in the story of our lives, together!
