Travel Note
Please visit https://www.visitbarbados.org/ and carefully review the travel protocols in the slideshow on the website. Update as of 5/21: Starting on Wednesday, May 25th, if you are fully vaccinated, you will no longer be required to take a covid test. All you will need is to show proof of vaccination (1 dose of j&j or 2 doses of the others, boosters not necessary). For unvaccinated travelers, there are no new changes. If you are unvaccinated, you WILL be required to quarantine at an approved hotel, approved apartment or approved airbnb for 3 days and will be tested on day 4. Once negative results are in, you are free to enjoy the island. If this is the case, please arrange to arrive to the island ~5 days before pre festivities or wedding begins. Please visit https://www.visitbarbados.org/ and look under "Approved Accomodation" for approved hotels and apartments to stay for the duration of your quarantine.
Flight
East Coasters Direct flights available from NY, BOS and more. Our recommended airline from the East Coast is Jet Blue. West Coasters Unfortunately there are no direct flights to the island from the West Coast. You will most likely have to get a connecting flight via MIA or JFK. Our recommended airlines for flying from the West Coast are American Airlines and Jet Blue. Taxis are outside waiting to take to you to your hotel or airbnb.
Hotel
We recommend staying in the South Coast of the island, where the groom is from and where we will be staying. It is also our favorite part of the island and we think you will enjoy it as well. More specifically, we recommend staying in the Worthing, St. Lawrence Gap, or Rockley areas of the South Coast as they are centrally located. If you would prefer an AirBnB stay over a hotel, we recommend to look in the mapped area above where all of the recommended hotels are also located. There are some great condos and villas directly on the beach or near the beach. Recommended Hotels: Accra Hotel Coral Mist Blue Horizon Courtyard Marriott South Beach Hotel Blue Orchids Beach Hotel If you are staying for longer period of time, we recommend exploring the island and staying on the West Coast before or after wedding festivities. If you have questions about the ones listed above and/or other accommodations not listed, message Erika and Brad and they can provide more details and recs.
