Bradie and Luke met during their time at Texas A&M. Luke saw Bradie rollerblading through the historic district as she passed his house and decided to introduce himself. What started as a simple hello quickly turned into a friendship, especially when they found themselves playing middle infield together on their AMC intramural softball team. Bradie's skills impressed Luke, so he had to step his game up a bit. Bradie asked Luke to Zeta formal because of his smooth words and nice dance moves, but not long after, Luke graduated and moved to Dallas while Bradie spent the summer in Japan. The day after Bradie returned to the States, Luke called and asked her on a date. He took her to the Fort Worth Stockyards, where they hung a dollar bill that read “Bruce x2,” a reference to Luke’s nickname and Bradie’s last name that became a recurring joke throughout dating. They officially started dating during Bradie’s final year of college, stepping into a season of long distance that would shape their relationship in meaningful ways. From College Station to Dallas, Austin, and even Waco for “meet in the middle” dates, they spent countless miles learning how to love one another intentionally. Though distance brought challenges, it ultimately proved to be a kind gift from God, allowing them the space to grow individually and together. Through community that championed them, family who welcomed them as their own, and a shared desire to honor the Lord, Bradie and Luke began to see clearly that they wanted to step into marriage together. The last two years have been full of joy, adventure, and doing life side by side, and they are so excited to finally end long distance and become husband and wife. They’ll be moving to Dallas to begin this next chapter and can’t wait to see where God leads them next. They wouldn’t be here without the love and support of their people and they are so grateful to celebrate with you!!
