The first time Braden and I met, was in my roommate’s dorm room at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. I didn’t know very many people at school until I was introduced to people from La Vernia, including Braden. This crowd from La Vernia and surrounding areas soon became my closest friends at school. According to Braden, when he first met me he thought I was super pretty and he couldn't keep his eyes off me! Fast forward four years, Braden graduated a semester early and moved back home. Since, I was not able to see him almost every day like I was used to, I began to miss him. I was too scared to tell Braden how I felt, even though he ended up feeling the same way, because I didn’t want to ruin our friendship. However, one of our guy friends told Braden how I felt and we soon began talking. Shortly after, we began dating and have become inseparable since.
Braden was set on taking me to dinner at the Tower of The Americas, since I had never been before. On the way there, Braden tells me he “forgot his wallet”, so I offered to use my card. Braden told me that the reservation was under his ID, which is also in his wallet. I thought it was strange that the reservation was under his ID, but I went with it. Braden turned the truck around and called his mom to have his wallet ready when we made it back to La Vernia. We pulled up to his parent’s house and Nanny insisted on getting a picture with us in the back yard. Braden opened the gate to the back yard where our family and friends were waiting for us with balloons saying “marry me?”. So of course, Braden got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
