Really good seasonal food.
Delicious beer and is located right in Quidi Vidi village which is beautiful. Also right next to Mallard Cottage.
The best pizza, we always eat here when we go home!
Delicious food, good atmosphere and is located downtown.
The best breakfast and they have homemade toutons which I highly recommend to try while you're in Newfoundland!
Good food and beer and is located downtown right next to George Street.
My favourite bar on George Street. Highly recommend for live music but I also highly recommend going to George Street in general!
The most easterly point in North America, sometimes you can see whales out here as well.
One of the closest beaches. It's sandy but not fine sand. If you're here while the capelin are rolling, this is a great place to see it. You can have bonfires here and access the East Coast Trail. DON'T swim here though, it's a strong undertoe.
Another closer beach that is large grain sand. Can have bonfires here. If you continue into CBS, there's very rocky beaches. You can swim here.
A nice sandy beach but is about 2 hours outside of town.
A really nice sandy beach that's about 1.5 hours from town.
If you rent a car, go to Ferryland! It's beautiful and a great place to see whales this time of year! There's about a 10 minute walk to get to the lighthouse and you can pre-arrange a picnic there. It's about an hour drive from town.
If you rent a car and don't mind travelling, it's amazing out there! Shallow Bay is my favourite beach in all of Newfoundland but it's about 8 hours from town.
An amazing place to visit if you want to get out of town and see small outport communities. If you go here, make sure you visit Trinity. That's where my nan is from and it's beautiful. It's also where me and Braden got engaged! I highly recommend staying at the Trinity Guest House (25 Main Road, A0C 2S0 Trinity, Canada) if you go!
