A staple pass-time for Makayla and Braden and their families, Tanger Outlets has it all, everything from well-known retailers like Nike and Ralph Lauren to cute boutiques like Bold Soul and Francesca's. It's easy to spend hours at Tanger wandering in and out of shops, and if you find yourself hungry, you're in luck! You can find almost any restaurant you can want within a mile of Tanger: Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Zaxby's, Texas Roadhouse, and more.
River Street Savannah Georgia
If you want a taste of the genuine Savannah experience, River Street is a must. If you're a fan of history, historic statues and plaques that tell the story of Savannah line the length of River Street. If you're a fan of pretty water and old cities, you can walk the length of River Street and admire the view over the water and the old-timey feel of the buildings. If you're a fan of shopping or good food and drinks, River Street has a host of fun local restaurants and bars (we're looking at you, Spanky's and Wet Willie's) and shops.
Tybee Beach
If you're feeling beachy while you're in Savannah, Tybee Island is a great place to go. Our families enjoy beaching it up by the Tybee pier and pavilion, a popular spot on Tybee due to its good parking, showers, restaurants and restrooms right on the pier, and local shops nearby. The address provided above actually takes you to Spanky's on Tybee, not because you have to go to Spanky's (but if you do, their spuds and honey mustard are great) but because the best place to park happens to be a large parking lot right by Spanky's.
Vinnie Van GoGo's
One of the best and most popular pizza places in Savannah, Vinnie Van GoGo's, typically called Vinnie's, has been a Chapman family favorite for years. Nestled directly between historic Franklin Square and Savannah's vibrant City Market, Vinnie's has both fantastic pizza and a vibrant atmosphere. If you do decide to go to Vinnie's, there are two things you should know. First, you're about to eat some incredibly tasty and large pizza. Second, make sure to allow yourself a comfortable cushion of time to park and enjoy your time as both tourists and locals alike frequent Vinnie's.
Green Truck Neighborhood Pub
Voted Savannah's best burger for who-knows-how-many years now, Green Truck Pub's awards line multiple walls inside the restaurant, and there's good reason. Ever since the Chapman family discovered Green Truck, they have been obsessed. Green Truck has everything from perfectly-cooked and crafted, fresh burgers and ingredients to delicious vegetarian chili and everything inbetween. If you're in the mood for a burger, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Green Truck. They do, however, have extremely limited seating and do not take reservations, so make sure to go during off-hours or be willing to wait a bit to snag a seat for their phenomenal food. No matter what you decide, Green Truck will not disappoint.
