Wedding Party

Anna Scott

Maid of Honor

"I first met Joy playing frisbee freshman year in college and from there she quickly became one of my closest friends! I have so many fun memories with her from staying up until 2am completing an entire Wii game to going to a German castle with her there’s always an adventure! One of my favorites was pretending I didn’t know Braden was gonna pop the question when talking with Joy and she said “if my silly boyfriend would just propose to me” and I had to have a straight face which was so hard! I’m so blessed to get to be by her on her big day. If you see me at the wedding talk to me about your favorite bird!"

Luke Fabrizius

Best Man

I met Braden freshman year of college, and since then I’ve managed to keep him around long enough to be responsible for at least one small emergency every couple months. Getting to spend time with Braden over the years has been one of the best parts of my life. Together we’ve been through more nonsense than any two adults should admit, including a time when we walked into a Colorado petco fully convinced we could find a strange mythical creature called an “Oozle”. Anyway… a couple years ago Braden and I discovered we’re fourth cousins once removed by marriage, so technically I’m legally obligated to be here. Family is family! If you see me at the wedding, please note I’m single and emotionally available for slow dances. I also have great dental hygiene and a Dillon’s Plus card with over 200 fuel points. Please don’t treat me differently at the wedding I’m still only human!

Kaci Jussel

Bridesmaid

I first met Joy freshman year through our iconic Wefald floor 5 one day while playing frisbee and we’ve only grown closer since. Since we met, she has become one of my closest friends and I am truly grateful God brought us together! A few of my favorite things about her are all of the spontaneous things she encourages us to do, her truly giving spirit, her love to play board games in our living room, and the constant positivity she exudes that always makes me feel better. We’ve had so many crazy adventures together like Worlds of Fun, the haunted trail, and even galavanting around Germany. I’m so extremely excited to see what is in store for Joy and Braden, especially since I have gotten to witness this beautiful couple up close. It means the world to me that I get to stand by Joy on this special day and I cannot be more excited! If you see me at the wedding, talk to me about Nebraska sports or anything travel related.

My first time meeting Braden was at a 7th floor meeting in our dorm freshman year. Looking back at that first time seeing him sitting on the floor criss-cross applesauce, its hard to believe that in only a few short months from then we would be headed to New Orleans to watch Kansas State play Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. I will never forget the amount of convincing it took from him to get us all to agree to sit outside all night in the cold for tickets to a game that was going to be played in a city 14 hours away. Even though in that moment I couldn’t feel my hands or feet, sitting on the freezing concrete with all of my new friends was a moment that I will never forget. It’s crazy to think that was just one of many adventures we would go on together. If you see me at the wedding, ask me about all the other cool trips Braden has convinced us to go on.

Bridesmaid

I first met Joy while swing dancing freshman year at K-State when she taught me all her sick moves. She’s been one of my closest friends ever since; she’s been a huge light and comfort in my life. One of my all-time favorite memories is running full speed through a German airport to give her the biggest hug after months of missing her while she was studying abroad. I’m over the moon for Joy and Braden and am so honored to be a part of their special day. If you see me at the wedding, talk to me about your favorite recipes!

Lucas Dedonder

Groomsman

I’ve known Braden for as long as I can remember, from growing up together and playing junior cowboy football to becoming close friends in high school and eventually living right down the hall from each other in the dorms. Some of my favorite memories with Bray are game nights and watch parties with all six of us squeezed into one dorm room, as well as visiting him in Liverpool during his study abroad. Traveling with Braden is always easy since he has just about everything planned before we even land. If you see me at the wedding, feel free to say hi and ask me about farming, gaming, or my newfound love of cooking!

Bridesmaid

I met Joy when we were both scared middle schoolers going to a brand new school. She quickly introduced herself to me and we were stuck like velcro for the next few weeks! Throughout middle school and high school I got to compete alongside Joy in sports, as you would find Joy killing it on volleyball and basketball courts as well as on the track. My favorite thing to say in high school was “Oh Joy.” She was a fun friend to laugh and work hard with. Into college it has been a blessing to grow along side Joy in many ways, especially as we both have grown in our personal walks with Jesus. It has been beautiful to watch her heart for discipleship to grow, as she has a desire to lead and now loves on college girls around her. I am so excited to stand next her on her big day, as her and Braden commit to serve Jesus together! If you see me there, talk to me about your favorite thing you learned as a kid, or something you wished you learned!

Groomsman

Braden and I met sophomore year of college, bonding through academic trauma, as all Computer Science majors do. It wasn’t until junior year that we became close after grabbing coffee and realizing we were essentially the same person, just with different bugs in our code. One of my favorite memories with Braden is a trip to Iowa State for a K-State football game, where we drove head first into a blizzard and nearly froze to death at the game, which was an experience best described as undefined behavior that somehow worked out in the end. Between studying together, laughing together, heart-to-heart conversations, and surviving group projects, Braden has become one of my closest friends and a true brother in Christ. If you see me at the wedding, talk to me about my summer plans.

Bridesmaid

Joy and I met 8 or 9 years ago when we were going to church youth group together and she and my brother were just “friends“. I knew there was something more there but they denied it for awhile! :) She was always so sweet to me and my friends.  We also got to be on the same HS volleyball and basketball teams and she was my “big”. Since I was a sophomore when she was a senior she taught me many things and was always positive giving me confidence when it came to sports. Some memories consist of family vacations to the lake and mountains. One family vacation to Tablerock Lake we were tubing and got burned on our backsides! It was hard to sit down for awhile. (which we will never do again). Another memory with Joy is when I first came to college she took my roommate and I around Manhattan as we were new to the town. She showed us all the view sites and good places to go as we were young scared freshman. Being around Joy through the years of her and Braden has been full of wonderful memories! Being Braden’s only sister, it is nice to have another girl to pick on him with. If you see me at the wedding ask me to dance!

Trent Mars

Groomsman

Braden and I are first cousins and just 14 months apart, so we have been close all our lives. We are surrounded by girls on the Reece side of the family, so we spent a lot of time together playing football or video games.  Braden and I grew even closer once I transferred to K-State.  We both have always been huge K-State fans, even hoping to one day play football for KSU after attending football camp together at just eight years old!   Since that didn’t happen for either of us, we continued to bond through attending games in the student section, and talking about everything K-State needs to do differently to be more successful. (That’s a sore subject lately!) If you see me at the wedding, talk to me about sports or music!  Fun fact, I sometimes DJ wedding dances.

Abby Rose

Bridesmaid

The first time Joy and I met was when we around 4 years old in our first day of daycare. From there on we were attached going through kindergarten through 6th grade together. Our first heart break occurred in kindergarten when Joy was placed in Mrs. Wellers class, and I was placed in Mrs. Cooks class. Recess quickly became the best part of the day because that was the only time we got to hang out. Our school years consisted of being partners for every project and endless after school play dates and our summers consisted of me essentially being adopted by the Clemence family spending countless days riding horses (and donkeys), herding cattle (and goats… oops), changing the oil in tractors, having mudball fights (with horse poop), driving the farm trucks, and many other farm chores. The heartbreak of Joy moving to Abilene, just like our first one in kindergarten, grew our friendship even closer making us cherish the times we did get to see each other. Since then, Joy and I have spent our high school years playing against each other in volleyball and third wheeling occasional dinners with Joy and Braden and college years going on crazy trips around Europe, Hawaii, and the Bahamas. I am so incredibly grateful to be standing by Joy and Braden on this very special day. We dreamed of this day since 4th grade! When you see me at the wedding ask me about volleyball/track, dogs, traveling, or sourdough!

Stone Sears

Groomsman

I met Braden in our first year of college, and we hit it off pretty quick. Since then, we have spent a lot of time together hanging around the house, attending Christian Challenge, and going on miscellaneous small adventures. Some of my favorite moments with Braden have been on the golf course or driving range. He and I have had many range sessions with way too much practice hitting our drivers, and not enough of anything else! One of my favorite memories with Braden was going for an evening swim in Tampa, FL. That moment and many more have only been possible because of Braden’s amazing forethought and planning. Along those lines, I can’t wait to be there for his wedding night! If you see me at the wedding, ask me about my “Braden Theory,” I’d love to elaborate, or find similar experiences!
