Braden and I met on an online dating app called Hinge. I know what you’re thinking—trust me, I told myself I would never meet someone through a dating app… yet here we are. On our first date, we went to Rope Mill, walked to the waterfall, and ate pub subs. It didn’t take long for me to realize that Braden loved Jesus and the outdoors just as much as I did. From that very first date, I knew he was the Godly man I had been praying for throughout college. We laughed, shared our testimonies, and truly got to know each other. It was such a special first date. I look back on that day often, and it’s a sweet reminder that God has a plan—and that sometimes, we just have to be patient in the waiting. Psalms 23: 1-3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
