What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. To prevent any delays, please plan to arrive between 4:30 - 4:55.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail/semi-formal. Please also keep in mind that this is an outdoor event and plan your attire accordingly. The ceremony, weather permitting, will be in the sun, but the reception area is entirely covered by shade under a large pavilion.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We have a hotel block in the travel section of our website that you are welcome to book through, or, there are plenty of other hotel options in the Winston-Salem area.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the venue. There will be event staff on site directing cars to open spaces. For those who may need assistance, the event staff will also be providing golf cart rides to and from your cars before the ceremony.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are not setting up a shuttle service of any kind, but if you are flying in and have concerns about getting to the venue from your hotel, please let us know and we will do our best to coordinate a ride for you.

Can I bring a date?

As much as we would love to say, ‘the more the merrier,’ we are unfortunately limited to a certain number of guests. Therefore, plus ones are by invitation only. We kindly thank you for your understanding!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please personally contact Peter or Kaitlyn to let them know no later than April 15th and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in May in North Carolina is typically warm but not hot, with temperatures averaging between 58 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit. We will update this page the week prior with more detailed forecast information as it becomes available.

Will there be a bar?

Answer

We will have an open bar with a small selection of beers and wines. We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing any of your own alcoholic beverages on site, as that is strictly prohibited by our contract with the venue owners.
