Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Of course! However, we’d love for our Mom and Dad’s to be able to let loose and cut a rug though, so if you need help finding a babysitter for the night let us know. We have plenty of “friends” aka the girls that work for Stephanie who could babysit for the evening. The property also has an unstairs bunk room that serves perfectly fo a kids getaway. Working on possibly having babysitter in house for the night. In the works!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Great Question. There is MINIMAL parking. The ceremony and reception is all at the same place so we’d love it if you carpooled or took an Uber/Lift (safer that way anyway!)

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The ceremony/reception will be in Liepers Fork in Franklin- 30 minutes south of Nashville. Nashville and Franklin are BOTH amazing places to stay. If you’ve never been to Nashville we would recommend staying in Nashville so you can do “Nash”. If you’ve done “Nashville” we would absolutely recommend booking an Airbnb closer to Liepers Fork or Franklin to enjoy the beautiful countryside of Tennesse. Downtown Franklin is probably one of the most quaint historic downtowns and is lined with Red Maple trees in the fall. Airbnb or vacation rentals would be our suggestions to look at first, AND y’all all know each other... we are hoping you group together and make a weekend getaway out of it! Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

We will be at the Big Blue House all weekend, anyone and everyone is MORE than welcome to come stop by and hang with us ANYTIME. The property is huge, come join us!! Friday: A WELCOME DINNER - It’ll be a Powers Family Cooked Feast - and for those of you who haven’t met The Powers Family yet this is basically us in a nut shell - we like to cook, A LOT, so there will be plenty. Come hang with us for a casual evening full of food, drinks, and some lawn games. Brad will surely be fireside cooking up some s’mores and the ladies will be doing any last minute crafting needed for the Big Day.

Is there a dress code?

Cocktail Attire, but please be comfortable! We will be spending a lot of time outdoors and although we are praying for that perfect Fall day, Nashville likes to be unpredictable so please check weather prior and dress accordingly.
