Question

What are the passport requirements?

Answer

✅ A valid passport is required to attend our wedding. Please make sure: - Your passport has not expired and will remain valid through the wedding date. - If you need a new passport or renewal, the process can take 4-6 weeks, so plan ahead! 🌐 Need to renew or apply for a passport? Visit: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html

Question

Can i bring a guest?

Answer

If your guest is listed on your invite or you have a plus one option listed with your RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as intimate as possible with our close friends and family. Thank you for understanding!

Question

How do we get to Mexico?

Answer

Depending on where you're coming from, you have several options to get to Mexico: 🚗 Drive: Use your personal or rental car to drive into Mexico (taking the I-5 south to cross the border). 🚕 Arranged Transportation: Book scheduled driver services from San Diego. ✈️ Fly: There are direct flights into Tijuana International Airport (TIJ). For more details on driving, arranged transportation, or flights, please check the Travel & Accommodations tab.

Question

What can i expect crossing the border?

Answer

If you plan to drive to Mexico for the wedding, here's what you can expect crossing the border (there and back): 🇲🇽 Into Mexico Crossing into Mexico is typically quick and hassle-free, as there usually isn't a wait. You may be asked to show your passport, but in most cases, there are no extensive screenings or delays. If you’re driving, you may need to stop for a brief inspection. 🇺🇸 Back to the U.S. Returning to the U.S. can take significantly longer, especially on Sundays when weekend travelers head home. Wait times at the border can stretch for hours, so we recommend leaving early Sunday morning or avoiding the rush altogether by heading back on Monday when lines are much shorter. Be sure to have your passport ready, and if driving, prepare for possible inspections.

Question

Where can we stay?

Answer

You have a few options for accommodations, depending on your preference: 🏨 Hotels: Several hotels are nearby, most within a 20-minute drive. 🏡 Airbnb: To keep travel costs down, we highly recommend booking an Airbnb with friends or family. For more details on nearby hotels and Airbnbs, please check the Travel & Accommodations tab.

Question

How do we get to the venue on the day of the wedding?

Answer

There are a few options for getting to Villa del Paraíso on the day of the wedding: 🚗 Driving If you have a car, there is plenty of parking at the venue. It's a secure, gated property, so you may leave your car overnight if needed. Please don't drink and drive! 🚕 Taxis You can ask your hotel to arrange a taxi or contact our venue’s preferred service, Ignacio Taxis, at +52 (661) 112-7482 (via WhatsApp). After the wedding, Villa del Paraíso staff can help you get a taxi back to your hotel or Airbnb. 🚖 Arranged Transportation You can book a driver or shuttle service in advance for you and your group. For more details, please check the Travel & Accommodations tab.

Question

Will there be multiple events during the weekend?

Answer

Yes! In addition to the wedding, we’ve planned a few special (but optional) events: 🍹 Welcome Party: Friday, October 3rd @ 7 pm 🍳 Post-Wedding Brunch: Sunday, October 5th @ 11 am This is a meaningful time, and we want to savor every moment with the people we love. That said, please know there’s absolutely no pressure to attend either event! For more details on the wedding weekend, please check out the Event Details tab.
