Why are you getting married in Peekskill?

Answer

As much as we love living in Brooklyn, we also love escaping the city for the great outdoors! The Hudson Valley is our go-to spot for hiking & camping. Whether it's overnight on the Appalachian Trail, scrambling up Breakneck Ridge or Spartan Races at West Point, many of our adventures end in Peekskill at the Brewery. We hope to share our love for the area with you!

Who is Judge Ann Donnelly?

Answer

Judge Ann Donnelly is Sue Devendorf's cousin and was nominated by President Obama to serve as a federal judge in 2015. Judge Donnelly, who lives just up the block from us in Brooklyn, is someone we both greatly admire and couldn't be more excited she will be our wedding officiant!

What's with the stamps?

Answer

You may have noticed some unusual stamps on your invitation envelope. Morgan's grandfather, Poppy Irv, was an avid stamp collector and would drive across Staten Island looking for stamps at yard sales. Because of him, Morgan took up stamp collecting and they would spend time together organizing envelopes upon envelopes of miscellaneous stamps and first day issues. Very few (if any!) were worth more than face value, and so it became Poppy Irv's signature style to use up as many stamps as possible when sending mail. The stamps on your invitation & RSVP card are from Poppy Irv’s collection.

Why didn't the invitation ask for a menu selection?

Answer

Dinner will be served family style, so there's no need to specify which of the menu items is preferred. There will be plenty of everything to go around! The venues available menu items rotate seasonally, so Morgan and Brad will be finalizing the menu with the venue's chef in January and will post the dinner selections here once they're confirmed. If those the final menu conflicts with anyone's dietary restrictions, we can arrange for individual meals as long as we have some advanced notice (see below!).

Our wedding is cocktail attire. Most importantly, come in your dancing shoes!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Shuttles will start running at 3:15pm from the Holiday Inn to Factoria. The return shuttles will run through midnight.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony begins at 4pm. There will be a cash bar available from 3-4pm so you can grab a drink before the ceremony & say hello to family & friends.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at Factoria.
