We are so excited to celebrate with you!!

Brad and Kelsey went to high school together and became best friends around sophomore year. They texted every day and flirted constantly. Brad and Kelsey would have their “date nights” at their parents' houses. At the end of the night, Kelsey on multiple occasions had caught her little sister, Ali, peeking through the window watching them kiss goodnight. Kelsey would run in and immediately tattle on her, I think Kelsey’s parents secretly liked having Ali spy on the two of them to make sure there wasn't any funny business. When Brad and Kelsey graduated from high school, Brad went to UW-Platteville for mechanical engineering, Kelsey went to NTC for dental hygiene. They visited each other every weekend, driving 3 and a half hours one way to see each other. At that time, the saying was always, “If we can make it through this, we can make it through anything.” Today, they still bring it up and reflect on how thankful they are to be able see each other every day, go to bed and wake up next to one another, and do all their favorite things together. When Brad graduated from Platteville, Kelsey and Brad moved to Green Bay. They fell in love with the Green Bay community and active lifestyle! The Fox River Trail is one of their favorites, it is a running/biking trail that runs along the Fox River. Kelsey has run multiple half marathons on that trail and Brad has put some major miles on his bike on that trail over the years. Brad and Kelsey both have a huge passion for fitness. Working out together is one of their favorite things. They have the cutest gym pup too! Asher has been the most amazing addition to their family! He is a 3-year-old Mini Aussie. He gets lots of attention when they go to the dog park, Bark and Brew, and when he is lucky enough to go to the brewery with mom and dad. There are multiple, amazing breweries in the Green Bay area that Brad and Kelsey enjoy going to get a few beers and listen to some of the local live music.

Kelsey's mother's family has owned a condo at Lake Forest Resort in Eagle River, WI for over 40 years. It is near and dear to our family's heart. On June 13, 2021 we got to our condo for a little vacay. They got their stuff ready and headed down to the beach. It was a beautiful day so the beach was very busy. Since all the chairs were taken Brad said he would go back to the condo to get a beach blanket. After he got back Kelsey went to take a dip in the lake, Brad asked Michael if Kelsey saw Brad talking to her dad, Eric aka Clive, or if she saw them hugging. (Brad was asking for Clive's blessing) Later that night when they were at dinner Brad had a plan to propose on the dock but there was a storm rolling in and Brad was worried he would miss his opportunity. They got back to the condo and Kelsey insisted on changing out of her cute outfit into something more comfortable. Brad gave Ali a heads up on what he was doing so Ali could take pictures, she tried to get Kelsey to stay dressed up for the rest of the evening but Kelsey was stubborn and changed into a sweatshirt. They finally made their way down toward the dock, Kelsey's family was following far behind (note: Kelsey and Kelsey's mom, Kares, were the only ones that didn't know what was about to happen.) The dock Brad intended on going to already had a guy on it so Kelsey walked to the other dock. She made her way to the end of it, Brad was facing away from her at the opposite end of the dock, looking at the water (little did she know he was getting the ring box out of his Yeti cup.) When he got to the end of the dock where Kelsey was, Kelsey asked him if he wanted to sit down and put their feet in the water. Brad didn't want Kelsey to sit down so he said, "No, I don't want my shoes to get wet." Kelsey sat down anyway while Brad awkwardly stood there trying to think of a way to get her to stand up.

The guy on the other dock started to leave so Kelsey suggested going to that dock so they could sit on the benches they have. Brad quickly agreed to get Kelsey to stand up. Meanwhile, Michael and Ali were hiding in position to capture the moment, Clive was watching from afar, and Kares was looking at termites in a tree (completely clueless of what was about to happen.) Clive had to basically yell at Kares to focus her attention on what was going on. Before leaving the dock Brad asked Kelsey for a hug, ring behind her back now. He told her how much he loved her... As he kept talking it dawned on Kelsey what was going on and she began to cry. Brad then got down on one knee and asked Kelsey to marry him!! It is truly one of the happiest days of their lives!!
