More...Forever

After months of Brad asking Jacque to take a chance on him, and being turned down on multiple occasions, Jacque finally agreed to go on a date with him. It took the convincing by Jacques best friend, Heidi and Jacque's sister, Haelie for Jacque to get the courage to actually do it. You see, Jacque couldn't get past the fact that Brad used to be her boss for many years. It kind of weirded her out. Ultimately, Jacque decided since they already knew each other, a date wouldn't hurt. After a fantastic dinner, long conversations, a dance on the jetty and their first kiss, Jacque knew that she had found her more...forever!

You've all seen the pictures and video, but those pale in comparison to the perfect moment, captured on a below-zero Duluth, Minnesota December evening. Very early on in their relationship, Brad had already "proposed" to Jacque...well, sort of. It was a late spring evening, both of them sitting on the asphalt driveway, talking about the journey their then budding magical whirlwind had taken them thus far. A discussion of what if's and possibilities for a future together. Just then, to Jacque's surprise, Brad gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring...er...um...well...a Ring Pop, and giggling together asks her to marry him. Mind you, this was less than a month into their relationship. So she gives him a spurious "yes" as her eyes glance upward irreverently to the sky, because this was obviously not a real proposal...or was it? Fast forward about seven months. Jacque loves Christmas, and when I say "loves Christmas," we're talking Clark Griswold decorations! I took her to a place that neither of us has been, but I knew that she would love, Bentleyville Tour of Lights in Duluth, MN. After walking around for some time, I picked the perfect spot under a heart shaped figure of lights. With her mother, niece and her nieces friend, witnesses to what I was about to do, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. After shock wore off and she stopped saying disbelieving no's, she obviously said yes.
