We met on the dating app Hinge. Brad messaged Holly first and they had talked for a couple of weeks before Brad came up to Lafayette. Holly was impressed that Brad commented on something she wrote instead of a picture on her dating app profile. Their first date was at Holly’s home church where they helped pass out candy at the Trunk or Treat event on Halloween of 2020. The next weekend Holly came down to Indy where they played mini golf at Pirates Cove, watched the IU-Michigan football game, and had Mexican food.

In December, Holly moved to Indianapolis to take a new job with Milhaus Construction. After almost giving away the engagement details, Brad proposed to Holly at the Colts vs Raiders game on January 2, 2022. Thankfully, according to Holly, this wasn’t on the Jumbotron! In attendance at the game was Holly's maid of honor, Ashley Luzadder and her dad, CJ Collins, who’s an avid Raiders fan. After the game, they met Holly's mom, Jill and Brad's mom, Jane for dinner to celebrate at Ricks Boatyard on Eagle Creek. Brad decided to stick with his plans to propose on January 2, after his dad, Rich passed away two weeks prior on Dec 19, but knew Brad's plan before succumbing to cancer.
