Brad and I actually met back in high school during our senior year. We had the same art class, and he sat right in front of me. At first, I thought he was kind of a jerk (sorry), but I still had the biggest crush on him anyway. I was rude to him half the time, but then I’d turn around and help him finish his art projects. We started talking more and getting closer during class. Whenever we had group projects or outside ones, I’d secretly hope he’d ask me to be in his group—and a lot of the time, he did. After we graduated in 2022, we kept hanging out. I would ask him to hang out almost every single day, even though I felt so lame doing it. One time, I really wanted to see this movie, so I asked if he’d go with me. He was kind of unsure, so I just went ahead and bought the tickets and told him, “Well, now you have to come.” We went, didn’t touch at all—not even our arms brushed, strictly friends. Another time we grabbed Jamba Juice, then watched the sunset while we chatted. That’s when he asked me, “Have you ever jumped off Salmon Falls Bridge?” There’s still a little debate about this—he swears I said “Yes, I have” to seem cool, but I’m pretty sure I said “No, I haven’t,” and then immediately said I’d do it anyway because I wanted to impress him. Either way, we ended up driving all the way there. I was terrified. We stripped down to our underwear, he held my hand, and we jumped. Hands down, one of the scariest (and best) things I’ve ever done. A couple months later, in August of 2022, he asked me to be his girlfriend. We started dating, and about a year in, we both found God together. Over the last three years, we’ve kept pursuing Him and shaping our relationship to honor Him in every way we can. Honestly, without God, we wouldn’t be anywhere close to where we are today. He’s redeemed us, redeemed our relationship, and redeemed who we are as people. We’re so grateful for the transformation he has done to bring us here. Then, in August of 2025, he proposed to me… at Salmon Falls Bridge. I had zero idea it was coming. It was perfect. We had a quick engagement and got married a few months later in Big Sur on November 11, 2025 (you can watch the video on here!). Now we’ve moved in together, we just got the cutest puppy named Bruce, and we’re dreaming about buying a house and building the next chapter. That’s us—starting with art class, jumping off bridges, finding faith together, and ending up here, married and so excited to celebrate with everyone at the reception. Since our wedding in Big Sur was small and intimate—just immediate family—we’re now throwing a big reception so we can celebrate properly with all our family and friends. It’s going to be a fun day of good food, swimming, and sharing stories! I can’t wait for you all to meet Brad (or get to know him better) and hear him tell his side of the story too. ❤️
