We met in the most romantic and intimate place a couple could possibly meet...a dating app! After a few charming messages back and forth, we decided to meet up for a drink. Christine thought Brad didn't like her very much since their first date was on a Tuesday. Who has a first date on a Tuesday? Christine's first impression was that Brad had a nice beard and was funny. Brad's first thought was that Christine was tall. Many dates later, we both knew we had found the perfect person to spend Tuesdays with...and other nights of the week as well!

I knew very early on that Christine was the person I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. This allowed me to really take my time and plan out the perfect proposal. I wanted to do something simple, but special and unique. Christine loves to read and I decided that proposing with a book was the best way to go. So I took a trip to Michael's and had myself a crafts party hollowing out a book. I then reached out to some friends that happen to be very gifted artists to create a book cover for my hollow book. The cover features cartoon versions of Christine and I in front of the Chicago skyline, and the inside cover said "Will You Marry Me?" Pretty neat. Once I had my book all set, I just needed the perfect time. I decided to wait until our two year anniversary. Before heading out to a nice dinner and drinks, we decided to exchange gifts. I wrapped my book and disguised it as an ordinary anniversary gift. She unsuspectingly opened my gift and was so shocked her response was "What is this?" And after that my ten months of work paid off! OK, so I procrastinated for the bulk of that ten months. I'm allowed to embellish for the sake of the story! Oh, she also said yes!
