Chelsea and Alyssa met shortly after Alyssa's birth in 1997 and Alyssa has been Chelsea's favorite sister since then. Not only has Alyssa been a great sister, she has also been an amazing friend and roommate. Alyssa was Chelsea's inspiration for completing the Make-A-Wish ride and thus joining the Monroe Cycling Club for practice rides, thus allowing Brad and Chelsea to meet.

Brandon and Brad served together on the IKE, often people where confused on who was who, honeslty suprised we didnt get in more trouble.

Nimra Ali

Chelsea and Nimra met at Eastern Michigan University in the Pre-Med program. Nimra and Chelsea were lucky enough to have worked together at the St. Joe's ER for years until they respectively changed careers and Nimra moved to Ohio. Nimra and Mark are getting married in May/June 2022. Congratulations Mark and Nimra!!

Jonathan and Brad served together on the IKE, where Hambone was an evil QA monster and would often scold him over the most menial QA infractions.

Amy Rasmussen

Bridesmaid

Initially over FaceTime, Chelsea and Amy were introduced through Brad. During a work trip to Albuquerque, Chelsea and Amy met in person for the first time and it was clear that it was a start to a great friendship. In the last year we have enjoyed plenty time together in Las Vegas and in Albuquerque and look forward to spending more time together in San Diego over the next ~3 years when Brandon joins us in Cali. Amy and Brandon are also recently engaged - Congratulations we are so excited for you too!

Rob and Brad served together on the IKE, Rob was lucky enough to escape a full deployment and have a full oasis to himself, while the rest of us where workingish. However he still found the time while sitting by a pool to email us about how much deployment sucked for him.

Alex Feschenko

Bridesmaid

On a Girl scout trip to Mackinac Island, they got into a fight about Chelsea's footwear choice (high heel wedges) for a bike ride around the island. They avoided each other for years until our moms forced us to hang out one summer in middle school. Thanks is due to Mrs. Swanson and Mrs. Feschenko, because over the years Alex has essentially became a part of the Swanson family.

Brian and Brad served together at ACU-4, Brian couldn’t navigate the open ocean and found the only Volkswagen on the beach to bring the craft down upon, creating numerous weld jobs every time he thought the HT's needed to be inconvenienced.
