FAQs

Question

What if We Can't Make it?

Answer

The Berkshires is a trek for many of our guests, which is why we want to say at the outset that no one should feel pressured to fly across the country for our wedding. We completely understand that everyone is busy, and there's only so much PTO one can take each year! If you can't make it for any reason, we look forward to celebrating with you next time we are together. For our friends and family that live in Arizona, we plan to have a post-wedding celebration around the holidays, and we would love to see you then.

Question

What is the weather like on Labor Day Weekend in the Berkshires?

Answer

Temps are typically in the 70's during the day and cool during the mornings and nights. We suggest bringing a light jacket/shawl to the wedding.

Question

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

We are getting married at an outdoor venue by a lake. Weather permitting, our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be outside. The lakeside barbeque will also be outdoors.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is formal. For men, please wear any color suit with or without a tie. For women, a three-quarters length or longer dress is preferred. Please note that it will cool down at night, so make sure to bring a shawl or jacket if you get chilly. Also, most of the venue is grass, so be careful with stiletto heels.

Question

What is the dress code for the lakeside BBQ?

Answer

The dress code is lakeside casual. Weather permitting, please wear a swimsuit! We are hoping to spend a day by the lake laying out, swimming, and playing lawn games.

Question

Are you providing transportation to and from the wedding events?

Answer

Yes! Buses will be provided both for the wedding on Saturday and the barbeque on Sunday. For the wedding reception, buses will pick up guests outside the Marriott and the Hideaway Inn (formerly the Constance) at 3:00 p.m. Please do not be late! The buses will run from the Lakehouse to the Hideaway Inn and the Marriott from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. For the lakeside BBQ, a bus will pick up guests at the Marriott and the Hideaway Inn starting at 1:00 p.m. The buses will run back and forth from the Marriott/Hideaway Inn to the Lakehouse until 6 p.m.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

If you are staying at the Hideaway Inn, you can attend wedding events and explore Lenox without renting a car. You can take an uber or taxi to and from the airport, and we are providing transportation to and from all wedding events. We do, however, recommend scheduling your uber or taxi back to the airport in advance to make sure one is available. If you are staying at the Marriott or an Air BNB that is not walking distance to the restaurants/shops in Lenox, or you want to explore the Berkshires (drive to a lake to swim, go to High Lawn Farm to pet the cows, etc.), we recommend renting a car.

Question

How do I get to the restaurants and activities you recommend?

Answer

The Hideaway is located right in the heart of Lenox and is a 2-3 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The Marriott is located one mile outside of Lenox. You can drive or call an Uber/taxi to the restaurants and shops in Lenox. You could walk, but it would be alongside a major road with no sidewalk. Stockbridge Town Beach and High Lawn Farm are both an 8-minute drive from Lenox.

Question

What are some options for transportation?

Answer

Ubers can be spotty in the Berkshires. If you are not able to get an uber, below are a few options for car services to the airport/other places: - Andrus Car Service: https://www.yelp.com/biz/andrus-car-service-pittsfield - Bianco Limousine: https://www.biancoslimousineandliveryservice.com/ - Transport the People: https://ttplimos.com/ - Berkshire Journeys: https://berkshirejourneys.godaddysites.com/

Question

Can I drive to the wedding ceremony/reception or the lakeside BBQ?

Answer

Free parking is available across the street from the wedding venue, if you choose to drive. However, we will be providing transportation to and from both events. Please do not drink and drive!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend is an adult-only celebration. We hope you understand!
