Maid of Honor
The oldest sister of two brothers, Kim would only allow another baby to live in the Extein household if it was a girl. Luckily, this worked out in both our favors. From mani-pedis at the spa, to sleepovers at her college dorm, rollerblading around Presque Isle, concerts, and so much more, we will always have our Sister Day. I am blessed to have Kim at my side as I marry my best friend.
Best Man
Brett is my older brother and has always been my biggest supporter. Fun fact, we were both born on Friday the 13th. He has always been the best big brother, and I know he always will be. Some of my favorite memories together include playing sports every day, playing video games together, having him at my high school games, the trip to Myrtle Beach with Daryl and Brant when I was a sophomore in high school, playing bumper cars off of the snow banks, signing me out my senior year of high school for all of my “doctor” appointments, our golfing adventures, living together in Myrtle Beach and then again in Cleveland, working together at GOLFTEC, navigating the golf industry together, our trip to the Masters and the Ryder Cup, his surprise 40th birthday party, our phone calls, and everything in between. He has always supported me, protected me, and encouraged me. I could not think of a better Best Man on my wedding day, and for the rest of my life.
Bridesmaid
Cousins by blood, Mary and I have often been mistaken for sisters. We spent nearly all our childhood together. As we grew older, she continued to follow me to the same high school, college, and grad school. Mary has been at my side for every Jonas Brothers concert (except for the one on the day she got engaged!). I am so excited to have her Fly with Me when the Wedding Bells chime.
Groomsman
The loudest of the four siblings, Tom always has a story to boisterously share. If it wasn’t a school day, I was sure to wake to the sound of Tom jumping on the trampoline blasting Chumbawumba and fall asleep to the incessant dribbling of his basketball. He is probably responsible for my disdain of the sport! Along with all the noise, Tom also brings a lot of compassion and heart. I am happy to have him as a brother and as a groomsman.
Bridesmaid
My go-to travel buddy, Kelly and I have had many adventures together. She shows me the world (Antarctica is the only continent she has yet to visit!) and I show her the Disney World…on repeat. Despite living two states away, Kelly is always there. I know I can count on Kelly for anything, including her support leading up to the big day and every day thereafter.
Groomsman
My first sentence? “Where’s Pat?!” I continued to endlessly repeat this query throughout the years, at first because I wanted to find my earliest and closest playmate and then because I wanted to avoid him. Patrick is the epitome of older brother – knowing just when and how to push me, but always there for me in the end. We have spent countless hours together, and I am thankful for all our memories. I can’t imagine Patrick not being a part of this day.
Bridesmaid
The other member of our KAA (Kelly, Amy, Andrea) trio, one day Andrea walked into a restroom in a Disney shirt and walked out with a friend for life. My Squareroot, we were nearly inseparable our first two years of college before she ventured off to pharmacy school. We initiated monthly KAA weekends at that time and have continued the tradition across the many years and many, many miles. Andrea always knows what I need through just a look. I am incredibly grateful for her and all she has done leading up to my walk down the aisle.
Groomsman
Ryan is another “brother” of mine. Similar to Brett, Ryan and I played sports together as kids as well as other games. Ryan, Brett, and I played a lot of golf together and somehow all three of us ended up becoming Golf Professionals for our careers (crazy for a small town such as Sherman). In addition to being friends with Ryan, I had his dad as my 5th and 6th grade teacher. I have become very close with his dad, his mom, and with his brothers and sister. I continue to spend lots of time with all of them, and am very fortunate to have them as friends. I am forever grateful for Ryan and his family being there for my family and I when my mom took her life. That is something I will always remember and will always be thankful for. Some of my favorite memories include playing basketball together in high school, the trips to high school golf matches in the van with his dad, our first trip to the Masters, our annual trips to Dubois in our younger years, playing cards together, watching countless Buffalo Bills games, our continued golf rounds together, Arnie and Molly becoming best dog friends, coaching high school basketball together, his help in planning Brett’s surprise 40th birthday, and seeing Ryan be a great husband and dad. I had the good fortune of being Ryan’s best man in his wedding, and I am honored to have Ryan next to me on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
It took seven years of going to school together before Kaylee and I talked. I was shy. She thought I hated her. After a change in bus routes had us riding to school together, we finally acknowledged one another near the end of sixth grade. We were in the same circle of friends in junior high, became even closer in high school, and rented a house together after college. Kaylee can be trusted to always bring a laugh and tell it how it is, whether you want to hear it or not. I wouldn’t want to celebrate this day without her.
Groomsman
Brant is another one of my “brothers.” Growing up I was fortunate enough to have numerous close friends who felt like family. Brant is one of those guys that is always willing to lend a hand, and will always be there no matter what. Like Ryan, in my family’s darkest hour, when my mom took her life, Brant and his entire family were there with endless support. I am forever grateful for that support and love. Some of my favorite memories with Brant include the previously mentioned trip to Myrtle Beach, sitting in the back row in Mr. Hogenboom’s Course 2 Math class (Brant was a Senior, I was a Freshman at the time), bouncing his car off of snowbanks in the winter, playing sports in high school, playing golf together to this day, watching Bills games together, dominating our Fantasy Football League, and seeing Brant be a great husband and dad. I am proud to have Brant next to me on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Mikey grew up the youngest sister constantly running around outside determined to keep up with all the older boys. I grew up the youngest sister constantly running around outside determined to keep up with all the older boys. Her dad had her watching R-rated horror movies since birth. My dad had me watching R-rated horror movies since birth. She has ice cream every night. I have ice cream every night. No wonder Mikey and I have been lifelong friends! I am so excited to have her with me today and always.
Groomsman
Daryl is another one of my “brothers.” Like Brant and Ryan, Daryl and his family were there during the toughest days when my mom took her life. I am forever grateful for that support and love. Some of my favorite memories include the trip to Myrtle Beach, playing football, basketball, and volleyball with Daryl, coaching high school basketball together, our annual One Ball Golf Tournament together with Brett & Brant, watching countless sporting events together, our trips to Pittsburgh to see Kenny Chesney, and seeing Daryl be a great husband and dad. I am proud to have Daryl next to me on my wedding day.
Flower Girl
One of our first spring days together, Brad and I met up with the kids for a hike. After being instructed not to say anything on their drive over, the first question out of Aadele’s mouth was “Aunt Amy, are you in love with Brad? Are you going to marry him??” Aadele will never hold back from asking any question or saying what is on her mind. I am so excited to hear her thoughts on the day!
Ring Security
Jamieson was due on my birthday and tried so very hard to make this happen (just ask Kim!) but couldn’t quite hold on, arriving one week early. We bonded instantly, spending time together nearly every day the first few years of his life. We will always have that special bond; Jamieson will always be my Captain. I am very proud to have him as my Ring Security.
Flower Girl
Alora might be the smallest but do not underestimate her. This girl is fierce. Just like me, she won’t let being the youngest deter her from keeping up. However, if she finds an opportunity to play in water, she will quickly ditch them all. I am so excited for her to make a splash on the big day!
Ring Security
While Jamieson is focusing on earning his Black Belt and Aadele is out running into first place in all her races, Eli is taking the path of Uncle Brad, trying every sport he can and exceling at them all. Eli pitches and hits with both hands, plays any position his team needs in soccer, loves swimming, and is climbing up the ranks in Martial Arts. He is a rockstar and the perfect fit for Brad’s Ring Security.
Bride Security
The exact opposite of Captain, Rory screamed every time I simply stood in the same room as him the entire first year of his life. Something happened at his first birthday party, the switch flipped, and we never turned back. Rory is my biggest protector. He has the absolute kindest heart. He was the first person in my family I told about Brad and the first person I turned to after Brad proposed (even before I said yes). There is no one else who could better serve as Bride Security.
