The Tampa Riverwalk is a great, scenic way to get around downtown Tampa. The walkway follows the Hillsborough River and Garrison Channel, connecting a lot of Tampa's most popular and scenic locations. Popular locations include the Straz Center, Tampa Museum of Art, Curtis Hixon Park, University of Tampa, Tampa Convention Center, Amelie Arena, Sparkman Wharf and the Florida Aquarium. We recommend stopping by at the Sail Pavilion during your walk/bike ride for a quick bite and delicious drinks.
Sparkman Wharf is Tampa's newest outdoor waterfront space, located just east of Amelie Arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning. There is a lot to do here with nine dining options, a beirgarten and indoor and outdoor entertainment including lawn and feather bowling, ping pong, darts and shuffleboard. The Tampa Streetcar drops passengers off right by the entrance.
The Florida Aquarium is a real neat experience for getting up close to both aquatic and Florida everglade creatures as well as a few other surprises (penguins!). Amanda and I are both animal lovers and love the work that Florida Aquarium and the Tampa Zoo do to aid wildlife.
Armature Works is a fully restored mixed-use building located in the historic Tampa Heights neighborhood. Located at the western end of the Tampa Riverwalk, there are multiple restaurants to eat and drink at in a cafeteria like layout.
Located in the heart of Centro Ybor, TBBC is one of our favorite breweries and restaurants to visit. Some of Brad's favorites on the menu are the bomb burger and a seasonal beer called moose killer. In addition to the brewery, a movie theatre is located on the second floor as well as a plethora of other breweries, bars, distilleries, restaurants and cigar shops all nearby. Best of all, the Tampa Streetcar stops right in front of TBBC!
