What if I can’t travel?

Answer

We understand not everyone will be able to make the trip. Just be sure to let us know as soon as you can. We are planning on hosting a large celebration the summer after the wedding in Michigan to celebrate with all of our extended friends and family! The details are to be determined, so keep checking our wedding website for updates.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The day before the wedding there will be a welcome cocktail party (time TBD) to welcome everyone to the resort, so please book your travel accordingly. The remainder of the stay after the wedding we may try to do some excursions but it is up to you, this is your vacation too!

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We request you wear beachy semi-formal attire. Be sure to dress light and breezy, since the air will be warm and humid. For the ladies, a nice sundress with sandals is ideal. For the men, khaki slacks, linen shirts, and nice sandals as well. You won’t see many suits, so unless otherwise noted by the bride and groom, keep it simple. If you’re still unsure what to wear, be sure to ask the couple for suggestions!

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

Gifts are not necessary for a destination wedding. You making the trip out is a gift in itself! If you feel generous you can always add a tour or spa treatment to the couple’s itinerary, if you want to give them something to enjoy at the resort. Otherwise, boxed gifts or cards with money should be given to them once you return home. ​

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance so I can inform the resort.
