We met at a basketball game at our high school in Canton. Brock sat down next to me and my friends and we talked and there was definitely some flirting going on. I thought he was cute, but wasn't interested in him because he was a freshman and I was a junior. Brock Bozeman is very persistent and determined, and would find me at my last class of the day, every single day, and walk me out of the school. We didn't keep in touch that summer, but the next school year we ended up in the same theater class and sitting next to one another. That's when we really hit it off and knew it was something special.
October is our month. That's when we started dating in 2012, had our first kiss, said I love you -- it's a really sweet month for us. We had been ring shopping, so I knew Brock was going to propose, and I was hoping he would propose in October...I was on pins and needles all month long!! On October 25th, I drove to Canton from Leander. Brock said he wanted to drive me to Tyler to take me on a date, and wanted us to get "all fixed up." He encouraged me to dress up a little bit, curl my hair, get my makeup how I wanted it -- and that's when I knew that something was coming! He waited patiently while I got ready, then he drove me to the farm, saying we "had to stop by and pick something up to return for Chuck when we get to Tyler." We saw Kama in the barn window, and when we pulled up Brock asked if I wanted to get out and say hi to her. We hopped out of the car, jumped over a couple of mud puddles, and Brock slid open the barn doors and that's when I saw a trail of candles. He walked me into the barn and down the trail of candles that led to the old farm truck we both love with lightbox letters in the back that said "Marry Me." He got down on one knee on his Mama Faye's quilt and asked me to marry him, and I said "YES!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in May!
