Lido Beach
The Siesta Key Beach has been ranked #1 in the nation. But our personal preference is Lido. While Siesta offers large, flat beaches fully of powdery sand, Lido's vibe feels more intimate with shorter, sloped beaches giving everyone a "front row seat" view of the Gulf of Mexico.
Daiquiri Deck St. Armands Circle
After a long, hot day at the beach, we love to hit up Daiquiri Deck for oysters, gator bites, shrimp tacos, and more.
Florida Studio Theatre
Take an evening stroll by Becca's work! The FST campus spans two Downtown, Sarasota blocks and houses five theaters. It's fun to see at night when the marquees are all lit up.
The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art
The Ringling is the state art museum of Florida and houses over 10,000 pieces including work by Duchamp, Velazquez, and Rubens. Be sure to check out the circus museum and Ca' d'Zan, the Ringling family's former estate that's been turned into a historical museum, as well.
Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium
Whether you have kiddos of your own or are a kid at heart, Mote Marine is a fun place to visit with fish, turtles,sharks, and don't forget the otters!
Oleary's Tiki Bar & Grill
A spot where you can dine on curly fries, enjoy a cold pina colada, and wedge your toes into the sand? Yes, please! We love this spot, but dog owners, beware. An unsupervised Winston once ate a boatload of sand here and cost us $200! Yikes!
Marie Selby Botanical Gardens Downtown Sarasota campus
Selby is a great spot for an afternoon stroll through beautiful gardens. You don't need to have a green thumb to appreciate the beauty of this beloved Sarasota gem.
Myakka River State Park
Ideal for the non-Florida resident, this state park allows guests to take in "the real Florida." Take a walk through the tree canopy, kayak, canoe, camp, and spot a gator or two.
Sharky's On the Pier
This restaurant is a little bit of a hike, but it's worth it! You're always in for a delicious meal at Sharky's. We recommend timing it for a beautiful post-dinner sunset stroll down the adjacent pier.
Shark Tooth Beach Concessions Nokomis Beach
It should only take you about 10 minutes of searching to come up with your own shark tooth souvenir at the Shark Tooth Beach! Sifting through sand for these pointy treasures is fun for kids and adults alike.
Sarasota Paddleboard Company
Looking for some active fun on the water? Paddle board standing up or kneeling as you traverse and explore the beautiful florida mangroves. Stu gives Bob's paddle boards two thumbs up.
The Gator Club
