We're so excited to celebrate with you! This has been a tough year for everyone, but we've decided to not hold our lives back any longer. The event will have between 50-60 guests and we respectfully ask everyone to do their part to help us make this a safe and responsible celebration. We'll be following the vaccine rollout and government guidelines closely, and will send more details on safety protocols around Memorial Day. In the meantime, we're here if you have any concerns.
We met at work but didn't think much of it at first. One spring, we started running together in Central Park as an innocent attempt to get in shape, aided by some friendly competition and trash talking. We wouldn't have admitted it then but we both secretly looked forward to seeing each other every day. It wasn't long before we ditched jogging for pizza nights, concerts on the Great Lawn, and taking long, meandering walks through the city just to be together and laugh. Before we knew it, we were attached at the hip and it's been that way ever since.
It was a grueling morning. Endless switchbacks crossed over 2915 meters of rock. Several water breaks and deep sighs later, it seemed like we'd never get to the top but we kept climbing.... sometimes on all fours, sometimes clinging to steel ropes, until finally, we were there, sitting above the clouds and gasping for air with the whole world below us, as far as we could see. This was the moment. Justin fished in his backpack for a small box he had kept inside a thick wool sock but Sonny was sprawled out on the ground in exhaustion and couldn't respond for several minutes. He held her close, patiently waiting and prodding her to respond until she finally had the strength to yell - Yes!
