It all started when Sarah and her 3 friends moved in next door to Jan and his house-mate. Sarah and her friends took their time moving in, allowing glimpses of the neighbors that would soon change each other's lives. Both having a background in maritime, Sarah and Jan quickly bonded by telling sea stories about their experiences abroad; and, after many evenings spent cooking together and getting to know each other's pets, Sarah became obsessed with Jan's cat, Noni, and Sarah's dog, Sophie, became overjoyed at the sight of Jan. Their first date was an over-priced, excessively loud seafood restaurant where neither one of them was particularly impressed. They mostly prefer to eat home-cooked meals or go to their favorite wing restaurant.
