The couple met in High School; Kevin decided he had to meet Bethany after noticing her in a yellow dress in their Spanish III Class (his Junior year, her Sophomore year). Their first date (arranged on MySpace) was to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest in 2006. After being friend-zoned, Kevin proceeded to ask Bethany out for 2.5 years before she said "Yes" to an actual 1st date. The couple still doesn't know when they went on their 1st official date, so their anniversary was a randomly chosen date: October 12th.

Kevin & Bethany constantly banter about how long they have been dating (She says 11 yrs, He says 10 yrs). They lived 8 hours apart for 2 years of their relationship when Bethany moved to SoCal. After 2 years in SoCal, Kevin asked Bethany to live with him in Sacramento. Kevin swore he never wanted to get married but came to his senses and proposed.

Bethany found out about the Proposal 2 weeks before because Kevin left the receipt for the engagement ring in the Kitchen. Kevin proposal at Bethany's favorite spot in Disneyland, Snow White's Wishing Well, while on a family vacation. The couple never officially announced their engagement...They also never made it Facebook official that they are dating (still to this day, 12+ years later). He proposed on November 8, 2019.
