Ashley and Ryan met in 2015 at a friends New Year's Party, but didn't really talk much after meeting that night. Fast forward to a comedy club invite with their group of mutual friends. When it was time to pay for their cocktails, Ryan picked up Ashley's ticket. She was so confused as to why she didn't have a ticket, Ryan finally told Ashley that he took care of hers. The group decided after the comedy club to go out to one of the bars in Fort Worth. Ryan asked Ashley and her friend if they would drive him and his friend since they had Ubered. (Obviously we know the answer, yes!) Ashley decided that night to have a wild hair and try to parallel park her car. (Let's get real we all know that was never going to happen, haha!) Ryan offered to help (as he always does) Ashley parallel park her car in the pouring down rain. Woo hoo, she did it! Weeks went by and Ryan finally asked Callie (one of their mutual friends) for Ashley's number. Ryan asked Ashley out on a date (which didn't go as planned) and they haven't looked back since!
Ryan asked Allison (one of Ashley's best friends) if she would take Ashley to go look at engagement rings to see what Ashley had in mind. Months later, Ryan contacted Allison to finally make the big move. The two of them found the perfect ring for Ashley. Ryan had the best plan, he thought, until COVID-19 hit the world. He thought to himself when this is over I will get my plan in place. Weeks past by and finally the first "somewhat" free weekend mandated from the state was released to see others. Ryan invites his parents into town to hangout at Ashley's parents pool. Saturday morning, Ryan calls Ashley's dad and tells him that he is going to propose. All day Ashley's dad kept waiting for this proposal to happen. Right before Ryan and Ashley were going into town to pick up dinner, Ryan follows Ashley into the house to grab her purse. While they were walking back out Ryan grabs Ashley's arm starts telling her how thankful he is to have someone that cares so much to do everything she had done for his parents while they'd been in town. (Other things were said but Ryan nor Ashley can remember, love struck!) He turns her around towards him and gets down on one knee! Building a life together has been one of the greatest gifts and answered prayers! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
