We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We can help you arrange for a babysitter if you're bringing them with you to NYC. Please contact our wedding planner Liz by October 1.
Yes! Our wedding will be "black tie optional" for an elegant and classy ambience. Traditionally, for men this means dark suits or tuxes and for women this means floor-length gowns. We do want you to feel comfortable AND to enjoy a fancy evening out on the town in New York City.
Take a look at our Travel page for more information. There are several hotel options within walking distance from the venue near Rockefeller. (Beware of the Hilton Midtown—while it looks open, it is actually closed). If you are flying in we recommend grabbing an uber or taxi rather than renting a car. Parking and driving in the city can be really tough.
We suggest you plan on arriving to the venue at 4:00 p.m. to show your ID and vaccination card, make your way up the elevation to the rooftop, and enjoy a hot drink and our special musical guests before the ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Travel in the city can often take longer then you think so you may want to give yourself some extra time.
As we all know, policies and recommendations are continually changing. Right now, the mayor of NYC is requiring proof of vaccination to enter certain establishments. We have been told that our wedding venue does fall under the umbrella rule for indoor dining, so our guests will likely be asked to show an official COVID immunization card. This could change by October, but we do want to make everyone aware at this time. We are keeping our eye on this and will update the information as we know more. Perhaps our number one most frequently asked question!! ;) We are planning to make NYC home base for the time being and enjoy our new life together at last! Paul will continue his work with The Christian and Missionary Alliance based out of Columbus, Ohio and he/we will travel there regularly and keep our “vacation home” (haha) there as well. Sarah will continue her pastoral ministry at Hope Church in Manhattan. We’re excited for the adventure!
