They met in high school and secretly had HUGE crushes on each other. Nothing happened, and they are very thankful for that; they both needed to grow up and learn more about themselves in order to share the love they have today. Fast forward 8 years later and Kelly really needed to get her oil changed. She pulled into her local Quick Lube, Grimmer's, and Matt was there waiting to help. She had seen him many times working a Grimmer's, but this time felt different. He found her on Facebook and had their first date that weekend, January 13th to be precise. The rest is history :)

Matt is about as subtle as a gun. Kelly knew he wanted to propose, it was just a matter of when and where. He asked her dad permission to marry her on Christmas Day-- much to her sister's dismay! They were headed out to GT Prime, one of their first date spots in the city and then to the Lightscape at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. She thought he was acting weirder than normal! After a huge meal and a beautiful light show, they stopped under the Cathedral of Lights where he popped the question!
