Located on the north short of Lake Union, this park is a now-defunct gasification plant converted into a hilly park. This is a tremendous spot for a picnic while you take in the sights of sailboats, kayakers, and seaplanes in the city lake.
The expansive grounds of the Arboretum are a well-manicured tour of beautiful flora native to the region. You can spend upward of 2 hours walking the park and not see anything twice. Be sure not to miss the Japanese Gardens while you're here.
