The first time we met was on a river trip in New Braunfels. My best friend from college, Ashley, dragged me along and even though I was warned to stay away from this guy from Texas Tech, the moment I saw him I was hooked! The very next weekend, he drove from Lubbock to Cypress just to see me! Four months later, I moved to Lubbock and well, the rest is history! 😍

We had planned dinner with Haley and Jacoby at the Texas Tech Club. When we sat down at the table, I was oblivious to anything going on. Clayton got up and went to the bathroom, almost immediately after sitting down, however I didn’t think much about it. When he got back, Haley almost instantly got up to go, while I was busy ordering a bottle of wine. After ordering, Jacoby and I started in on a conversation about aerating wine, while little did I know Jacoby had just passed Clayton the ring. The next thing I know, I turned to my left and Clayton is on his knee. After some of coaxing out of my shock and realizing I wasn’t dreaming, I was able to say YES! 😘
